Described as purpose-driven jewelry, each piece of Washed Ashore jewlery is unique and made from recycled metals and 100% abalone. The brand hopes to inspire you to continue to heal and protect nature.

Weaving tradition into elegant garments with thoughtful ease, the slow fashion brand Ziran creates garments using xiang yun sha silk that dates back 500 years. The collection is inspired by classic silhouettes for men and women in gender fluid prints.

Opus Mind creates thoughtful and stylish minimalist bags made from certifiable recycled leather generously sourced from textile waste. By using leather glove scraps and giving them new life, Opus is minimizing waste and ensuring that the landfills have less waste.

@acnestudios showed their FW21 collection today via an atypically brief three minute, 34 second video. Contrast is one of the Swedish brand’s favorite design principles, but this wasn’t only a show of extremes. There was also an overarching feel of a nice middle ground that felt apt for the times - we had to land somewhere between the I-give-in sweats and I-want-to-escape feathered frippery that labels have been offering up.

They featured elements from both ends of that spectrum, presented in an intriguing mix that felt like a celebration of the great indoors. It manifested in looks like layered sets in comfy throw blanket-like fuzzy knits, some with multiple sets of attached gloves that had a Skims on steroids vibe, or outerwear and statement dresses in voluminous swathes of dainty bed sheet florals. Also worth noting were the accessories made in collaboration with @apobroche - cute puppies, bunnies and kitties rendered in hard glazed ceramic.

Acne being a leather and denim brand at heart, there were a group of monochrome black and white selections that continue to make the case for fierce, bodycon dressing. Fortunately, these dresses and deconstructed knits are more universal than a lot of the stretchy, stringy, sheer creations we’ve been seeing. And cementing the death of the tiny glasses trend are some XL stunner shades.

Though some of the styling might feel a little extreme, individual pieces broken down are interesting in their own right and will play well with others. After being home for a year, we’ve had ample time to contemplate our personal style, and more than ever appreciate something that feels special without feeling overly labored.
