First of all, thank you for checking in on me! Life has been great and I honestly haven't been on my PC besides to play Minecraft with my OG crew. It's been a great detox not being on my pc and instead being outside, reading, at the beach, baking, and just enjoying life.

Let me say a massive thank you to all of you guys as I've just hit 70K, a huge milestone of mine after being part of the community through this page for roughly 3 years!

I will do a thank you Patreon build/sim download hopefully sometime soon, fingers crossed this month. I just want to say thank you, I love you all after all the support and love you guys have shown me these last few years.

I wouldn't be as bothered by it if at least credit for inspiration was given. But sadly in the times I've seen this instance occur multiple times, that hasn't been the case. I do create my own templates for lookbooks, cc finds, LTK, "Farfalla HOME" "Farfalla MODELS", I don't use preformats made through Canva, so it is my work being used.

At the end of the day though, I try to turn a blind eye and just mind my business, but I would be lying if I said it didn't bother me.

EDIT: And because I had a person harassing me the beginning of this year saying I don't make my own templates, as Delightful Derek would say, suck my fat one.

Creators like Jius (and others) made such incredible stuff and really shaped the community, so it’s a bit sad to see that shift.

Do you think this is actually happening? And if it is, what’s causing it — burnout, game updates (like DX11 breaking things), pressure from constant content, or just people moving on?

I can't speak for everyone as I am just one voice, but from my observations I believe it is 90% the fault of EA/The Sims just being utterly broken and with the ongoing disappointment the companies have been delivering.

It not longer is just the fact of the game simply breaking after every patch even though they now have a "bob the builder fix it" team, but then the very disappointing buyout of EA, and the cherry on top, The Marketplace. Those 3 factors are the 3 factors of hell a lot of simmers view as a reason to leave the community and the game as a whole and I certainly do not blame them.

This includes the "average" simmer, not just us who post our sims on Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, etc. but the average Joe working on their vanilla 10 generation savefile suddenly corrupting. And a lot of those people do not really know where to go to seek help or find any sort of answers, they're kinda just a fish flopping out of water which is NOT their fault. Corruption, games crashing, lots not loading is not OUR problem, it is EA's problem. And I say this because if this is happening to people with ZERO mods, how can you tell that person that they're the problem?

And I fully believe EA cannot blame mods/cc anymore because if you want to have a "Maker" program to introduce "CC" into the game, then say "oh it's because you have mods and cc in your game"...you are a HYPOCRITE. I understand they introduced their own programs for the makers to use so it is "compatible" with the game, but it's still in essence CC. You are still marketing it as CC. But then tell us who use CC that doesn't cause a cashflow into their pockets that it's our fault. It's our problem.
