In lieu of the borderline civil war now breaking out across the country, let’s see what I was saying about this back in 2017:

Since I first issued my dire predictions of civil violence in the not-so-distant future, I’ve been looking, exhaustively, for evidence I’m wrong. But everything, everything I look at leads me right back to the same conclusion: this ends in blood.
