the Fantimals project

Fantimals is an ongoing web illustration project based upon the premise of a kingdom of element-attuned animal-like creatures, known as Fantimals, that have been recorded by naturalists from a far-off land (to the Fantimals, at least.) Thousands of years onward from this discovery, humanity has now attuned itself with the Fantimal race, and collecting these creatures (worry not, for as the Fantimals are merely magical, they are low-maintenance creatures, though inhumane behavior for the Fantimal may lead it to run away) has become a hobby for some, with especially dedicated hobbyists building and conjuring entire magical simulations of their natural environment for them to roam in. You, too, may learn about this kingdom of fantastical creatures, their mannerisms, and how humanity husbanded alongside them since their discovery. For our inspirations, Fanimals’ main concept  of the collection and raising of elemental creatures is primarily inspired by the likes of Pokémon and DragonVale.

Any person con illustrate a Fantimal alongside the main team of illustrators: @squirming-verm and @zootleboops, as long as they DM the main blog, showing us their fan-made Fantimal in question and its traits. The project is mainly written by @squirming-verm and curated by @zootleboops. That whom illustrates each Fantimal will be tagged with said Fantimal.

Blazianid

"Attuned to pure Fire magic, Blazianids roam along vast swathes of flameland and flat volcanic plains, where the lack of moisture and constant flare keep their bodies healthy and aflame. Blazianids are omnivores; though they primarily eat plant matter, such as their favorite food: the juicy stems and leaves of Fire Fennel, or they may ingest the flames around them by wafting their flame-like tail, they may also hunt down Dynamice that steal their hoards of Fire Fennel branches and feed the hunted Dynamouse to their chicks. Though like all Fantimals, usually bearing a friendly disposition towards People, if aggravated, a Blazianid may strike, and my even breathe a fiery concoction at the aggressor."
