5) You can merge the 2 themes if you like, but i wouldn’t recommend since it cant be categorized as either themes, you can still get 2nd or 3rd place tho since it applies to both themes! (i figured someone might have this idea)

Technically I yapped about this in a reblog, but a bit more depth.

But demons and (whatever I'm gonna call the alien Boris is) work together. Mainly because they were really useful to demons. Tended to be absolutely terrifying on the battlefield. Anyway this was All done in exchange for mercy. (Now on this note. Demons work with many other aliens, but they are delt with differently because they are placed side by side. Fighting along side someone is different than just trading weapons or materials.)

Anyway, as stated previously. The truce between them led to a huge system. Most (fighting) demons are paired off at a young age. Because they work better together if already accoustmnd to eachother. Others just exist alongside demons (may change this, but for now let's just say this.)

Thing is bendy and Boris are the worst of their sector (placed in invading.) Ironically for opposite reasons. Boris is too soft. bendy is too confident and reckless.

Which is the main reason they were paired together. Easier to get rid of them if they would supposedly fail.. Honestly bendy and Boris leveled each other out pretty well. (they didn't fail btw. Bendy and Boris are surprisingly resilient. It's incredibly infuriating to the devils the older they got -the role of the tallest unless I come up with a different title).

Another thing I think I may change is specifically how bendy acts, or what he has done to certain degree.

There's things he would never do in place of Zim due to the situation I've given him (he's not just looking out for himself. He has Boris). So he did go out of his way to regulate himself. They learned the hard way (bendy now knows the pains of working in a restaurant COUGH.) that if bendy gets too careless or reckless in a role, they both suffer the consequences.

Now this does fall out of like with the game of Cuphead (which I'll be basing majority of terrain on). Although we could also say that in the future; the entire group may just end up in a position where they owe the devil's. (Thanks cuphead/j it was rigged it's not his fault.) And end end up having to do things in attempt to stop the earth from being entirely torn apart.

Anywho more about the characters:

BENDY (left just what he looks like, right a disguise concept. Uses his horns as hair lol. He hides out as a humanoid)

specifically specializes in building and using those things as tools to fight. This is just how they were taught to fight in accomodations to their slight inabilities. Bendy prefers hand to hand combat though. Give him a reason to go feral on someone, he will.

Now majority of this falls in like with invader Zim:

He's this overly confident cocky demon so SURE that they wouldn't send him away to get rid of him and Boris. At least that's what he thinks for the first few months. It eventually dawned on him but he is denial hell, so it takes Boris finally getting the nerve, and grabbing him by the shoulders and forcing him to face it.

So overall. Assume he acts more or so like Zim, but he's struggling a lot more with personal feelings and morals due to his attachments + sudden freedom. He also has a little less entitlement. He didn't exactly demand positions, he thinks he deserves them sure, but rather than demand he takes it upon himself to prove it. Then just doesn't leave. He passive aggressively snakes his way into roles he never should've had. You know how people say "if you act confident enough you'll look like you know what you're doing." That's bendy. He has no clue and all the damn confidence.

I think I may make it where he was just SO annoying to the Devils and everyone else that they're just trying to kill them. Though bendy is a really hard thing to get a hold of, and Boris is really quite quick to remove himself (and in extension bendy) from bad situations. They're smart but infuriating, and also kinda useless a lot of the time for other reasons. Bendy is also a bit oblivious to the fact they want him dead until they're on earth. They tried to kill him and he literally came out of it like "hm that was some weird training, right Boris?"

Also he is majority kind to boris. Yeah they're rude to each other sometimes, and bendy is loud and somewhat demanding. They still openly care about each other though. I think now would be a good time to mention bendy doesn't understand any social norms at all (both the ones he's supposed to and ones on earth 💔. He notes them. Doesn't understand them). Bendy and Boris aren't supposed to care about each other. Bendy disregarded that and got attached. (Attachments like this are seen as weak in their societies. Which bendy acknowledges and uses against everyone else who isn't him.)

He actually uses mugman's familial relationships as a point of insulting or threats. I think he'd be the type to get to talking to Cuphead just to threaten Mugman.

Speaking of mugman! The only reason Bendy deals with him is because a, he's a kid too. He frankly doesn't realize some of these things are immature. Well maybe he also doesn't care. Maturity wasn't exactly enforced, knowing how to kill the enemy was 💔

And b, Mugman brings him a sense of normalcy. Something bendy chases because, as I said, he is in denial hell. Mugman treats him like a threat, and fighting is easier than talking about your feelings on how the empire you were created by, fought for, and suffered for; threw you and your brother away. (Bendy is gonna struggle a lot with any feelings that aren't straight up anger.)

<- also editing this later. Technically this applies to Both twins. Cuphead just comes into play later.

also been thinking about what may replace zim's back bag thingy. I don't think it would exactly fit on the ideas I've got for Bendy's character. Although I've also thought about maybe just having it where their literal life blood ("ink" for shits and giggles this is what Mugman calls it. It's not called that Mugman doesn't listen out of his own spite) will be a bit of a way of making things? Like it powers everything and controls everything attached to bendy (this would also follow along with shape shifting like the actual devil from cuphead.) Anyway not sure with that yet! But I'll figure it out.

l also thought a bit about demon biology so I could figure out how he may look when older. So have these too! It's honestly unoriginal. I think I need to make him more buggy looking, but I'll get to that later.

More markings and longer horns indicate maturity. I’d say they stop growing around 25! I want to think a lot more about this stuff biology wise, so there will probably be more of this. Also ignore the crying bendy, he’s a loser just pretend he’s not there 💔

Also not sure about the antenna, I like the way it looks but also idk if it fits his design. I am trying to make him look spikey and sharp, so that will probably change.

Also, more on Boris! . He technically takes the place of gir, but he isn't that happy just yet. Thinking about making it where He has a tendency to softly sabotage Bendy's schemes. Which bendy never realizes.

(17 when this takes place.) I may change a lot about Boris, but for now this is what I'm thinking.

Specializes in actual combat, although prefers tinkering with things. Even if bendy is better at actually building things (he learned a lot from bendy. It's something they often talk about. Especially considering Boris likes modding some parts of himself)

For my sake we're gonna call these aliens wolves for now until I come up with an actual name.

This is majority how he ended up like this (I wanted to include robotic parts, but wasn't too sure how until this hit me. He feels out of place in a IZ universe because I find him so sad. Although we could also say that neither Bendy or Boris realizes how bad this actually is. Yes it scared them, but it's their normal.

Theres a dark humor way to play this all off, but im just gonna describe it seriously for now.

On that note: tw for implied child abuse and mutilation.

Wolves tend to be pushed to be brute force. Compared to demons who are known for their weapons and strategies.

Boris failed a lot in these. In a partial cruelty (and as accustomed to failing wolves) his body was modified as a "last resort." (Initially he was just pushed over his limit a lot, and when that wasn't "working" the way they wanted. They decided, instead of trying something new. They just needed to "fix him".)

Antenna were replaced (more receptive. Hoping to better reaction time. Although also to make it harder to show emotion. Same with his tail. No use to that they just removed it and replaced it) and his arms were replaced. This all happened when he was 13. It was really jarring to him. They don't exactly warn you either. It also hurt for a long time after that.

Its just calling you in one day, and the next time you wake up you have to relearn how to use your body.

It was an incident that led Bendy to become protective over Boris, and Boris got a lot quieter. I think until they end up on earth. This is probably the first time Boris started really questioning their lives. (But bringing that up with bendy leads to being shut down almost every time, so he gave up.)

After this all Bendy got a bit distant and pushy. He didn't want this to happen again, and took what happened as a sign that Boris was being too weak. He did start pushing Boris away, which was really bad considering this was probably the time that Boris needed someone to be there for him. (Although do note that Bendy was definitely still doing things to make sure he was okay. When Boris's results lacked bendy made up for it in the ways he could. He was worried about his brother being entirely replaced if this kept up)

Boris approached being left on earth as a relief. It was a way to start over. Even if it was a wacky one. Yeah sure they were basically just playing house, but it was this weird sense of safety that he never really knew he wanted. Finally away from everything he had grown to absolutely loathe.

This is the main reason I'm thinking of making it where he does silently sabotage bendy. He's waiting for Bendy to get that they've been abandoned, and that THIS could be a source of freedom. If bendy ends up actually destroying everything they won't get that chance.

Though he will be the one to tell him anyway. He hated watching Bendy keep pulling himself apart for these people who have done nothing but try and kill them.

On a nicer note:

In his behind the scene interactions. He actually talks with the twins quite often. Mainly Cuphead before Cuphead learns what's actually happening. He avoids Mugman after trying to gaslight him unto believing that he is in fact crazy (it didn't work when he accidentally broke something. Prosthetic arms ARE NOT supposed to be able to break dense as hell items.... Or desks💔)

On earth boris does end up struggling a lot with his strength. Going to school ends up with many broken items. (He technically doesn't need to disguise himself as bendy as convinced everyone that Boris has just been through a lot. You know that skin condition joke in the first (I think) episode. Think that but with Boris's prosthetics.)

In an environment where Boris doesn't have to walk on eggshells 24/7 he's pretty laid back and calm (only out of school though. School is either incredibly boring or incredibly nerve wracking for Boris. At least for the first few months) He ends up finding a lot of things he loves. He doesn't really make friends other than the twins (bendy allows this bc "well fine we can get more information". In reality he just likes seeing his brother happy. He hasn't seen Boris actually calm since the incidents)

This is less of a nicer note: but Boris is dangerous . He only holds himself back. Although something that may happen is that he gets scared by someone (likely the twins) and ends up hitting them really hard. He also has a scary bite force.

also thought about him when he was older because I genuinely wany his character to be happy. He grows out his fur (usually he was forced to shave it down. Bendy continued with this for a while, but stopped trying to do it when he realized Boris didn't like it.) and bendy helped him in designing his arms to look more like paws, makes him feel better about losing them.

Mugman and maybe Cuphead taking place as dib. I'll explain the maybe and why them both in a moment. Also I'm not too sure if I like how I've yapped about them here. These are mostly just ideas.

First, Mugman:

Like dib he loves the paranormal, cryptids, and literally anything supernatural (in the more scientific way..he is SURE they exist he just needs proof). He's also incredibly smart. As well as just a bit self absorbed. Easy to anger and easy to insult.

Although, in contrast to dib, he's much more socially aware and anxious. A lot of the interactions with Bendy are behind closed doors or hidden, and only get loud and noticable because bendy is loud.

Mugman struggles to make friends and in response entirely shoved himself into fiction. Then that slowly turned into conspiracies and books on cryptids. In his private time though he really likes reading more fantasy (romance cough) along with sci-fi. The only person who listens to him talk about it is Cuphead. Though it really does feel like no one takes him seriously, and that when Cuphead does listen to him he isn't actually listening. (Do not get me started on kettle. The consensus is that he would be in place of professor membrane. He entirely shuts down Mugs when he brings it up. Honestly I think he would even if he wasn't in membrane's place. Anyway, insane scientist kettle is canon here. Use this information as you want)

The only person he spends a lot of his time with is Cuphead, and now technically bendy. I'd say in comparison to bendy. He kinda likes the attention given by bendy. Yeah the alien is technically bullying him, but mugman for once does technically have something to chase that takes him seriously. Bendy does make fun of him, but treats their interactions seriously to an extent. (Basically think they do majority hate each other but it slowly turns to frenemies. Although mainly after bendy accepts that everything he's doing here is useless, and he needs to get past that. In other words their relationship only gets less threatening years later)

And because Mugs would likely be too scared to actually do certain things if in public. When bendy eventually noticed this. Well it earned Mugman the name "coward." Trying to have a conversation with bendy? Never says his name. Not unless he's monologuing, or yelling at him very specifically.

The first person he tries to convince is Cuphead. Who is just kinda nodding and concerned lmao.

Mugman does talk to Boris, but Boris avoids him (Boris is also in a separate class from him, so unless he tracks him down its hard to talk to him)

Because Boris does find the amount of questions and accusations anxiety inducing. He gets really nervous, and Mugman doesn't exactly mean to do that. Honestly he feels a bit bad once he realizes.

Now, Cuphead

So Cuphead does also like a lot of the paranormal stuff Mugman does. Though differently. He doesn't exactly believe in it, but entertains the idea occasionally. He honestly likes to focus more on the whimsical parts of it. It's fun. (Realizing either bendy or Boris were aliens made him rethink life for a long moment before he entirely leaned into it. Especially after realizing bendy was Serious about destroying/taking over their planet.)

Cuphead is much more chaotic compared to Mugman, and someone bendy avoids interaction with a bit more (Cuphead drives him crazy because he can't figure out anything that gets to him that isn't just punching him). He's more likely to avoid Cuphead while he bothers Mugman.

Mugman often helps him with schoolwork because Cuphead personally struggles with a lot. His best (and honestly favorite. He won't admit tha) subject is math, but everything else; god give him strength. HE HATES IT. Cuphead is smart of course. Just sucks at the assignments given. Can't keep focus on it, and sometimes Mugman can't either.

Cuphead gets along better with people, others tend to like him for his talkative personality. He's also kinda fun to be around to most people in the school. ("you're so much easier to talk to than your brother." <- he hates hearing this because this usually leads to someone shit talking his brother to his face. Yes he can admit Mugman is a bit weird, but he hates hearing people talk about it.)

Now while I could've made him take Gaz's role (and maybe also I could've given it to Mugman, but due to how they act in canon i may just mix the two ngl. They can both act a bit like gaz and a bit like Dib)

This is also because I need someone who is able to replicate a separate side of dib, and Cuphead is more likely to lack all of that social care. He generally doesn't care, and more stubborn than Mugman. He notes something is very very wrong, and knows they need one thing. Proof. Or just for someone else to see it.

There will probably be multiple times where Bendy is tackled or is randomly chased by Cuphead. Mugman never really gets that aggressive unless Bendy starts it. (Mugman never considered himself an aggressive person. That was until Bendy came along, and man he LOVES. To push his buttons.)

Between both twins Cuphead is definitely bothered the least. Cuphead doesn't let it get to him (socially unaware vs socially unaware go.)

Mugs takes this all a lot seriously, and Cuphead does too, just differently. I think Cuphead has a lot more fun with this. Even if he doesn't realize.

And when it comes to Cuphead , chalice (thinking of making her act kinda like gaz. As Cuphead doesn't fit that role too well, But I may also make her something else entirely, and alice (she'd be the demon who wants bendy dead lol! Although not for the same reasons as everyone else. Ifykyk !)

Although because I just started. I'd like to draw them all out a bit more before i yap about them !

I'll try to post more about them . I'm just trying to get their designs and personalities a bit more down.
