Okay, so, Aiko (my persona and oc) will go through lobotomy at some point.
Cause she's got too much knowledge and too little possibility to change anything.
To ensure that she doesn't get curious again, she lobotomizes herself in a certain world.
Idk which one yet, perhaps Resident Evil...or One Piece.
Heh...imagine Shiryu finding her again, after some respawns and she's....different. A lot more openly...emotional. Almost childish. Forgets stuff regularly, lacks the ability to feel with someone. A cardboard version of herself...
And he kinda has to decide...kill her again, to reset it? Or think about WHY and HOW this even happened?
Haha, imagine that. Imagine Shiryu sitting criss-cross applesauce on the floor, Reiu (his sword iirc) next to him, listening to Aiko babble on about how beautiful the sea (this is the tenth time this day) and forget how to spell his name.
The once so...controlled and always acting person, now easily scared by the dark. Once so brave, now so easy to bring to tears.
Once so avid to avoid his hands touching her, now actively searching for his warmth. Always holding onto his coat, following him like a lost duckling which imprinted on the wrong person.
Once so deft with her hands. Artistic. Sometimes playing the violin.
Now...incapable of drawing anything more than weird indecipherable shapes. Incapable of recreating even one sound on her violin.
When angered, so petty and remembering all of his missteps. Now forgiving so easily.
Shiryu isn't sure if he likes this version. She's compliant. But now she cries when seeing blood or when he's slightly mean. She doesn't try to stop him when he puts his hand on her shoulder, or take off her glasses, which she is blind without. But now she relies on him for every decision, incapable of doing it on her own.
She's become what he tried to shape her into. And he notices that this isn't...satisfactory. This.... shell of Aiko is high maintainance. Which is something that gets tiring after some time.
I think he's sticking to CERTAIN things once he has committed to them, but when it slows him down in reaching his goals, or hindering him, he's gonna abandon it.
So, he abandons her at an island. Most likely. Even he should get tired of the constant time loops caused by Aiko's death, because it also resets his progress.
But then, (idk if that'll happen, alr? Just part of my silly little story) he dies and wakes up in the cell again.
Upon meeting Aiko again, rather because of routine, she's -much to his horror- still in the same lobotomized state. He starts suspecting something is off about the time lines. Perhaps her respawn points were changed? Perhaps someone else started waking up too and they noticed Aiko causing the rewinds?
He tries avoiding her, which doesn't work, as she is immediately curious about him and rather vocal about it.
But, as he doesn't have the patience, he doesn't take her with him.
Then, time rewinds. He is back in his cell again. Aiko seems to have died.
It takes two more rewinds for him to realize that she's the one who's been lobotomizing her.
As he remembers dying at the hands of someone else twice, despite changing strategies, he knows that he won't be finding a solution so soon, which is why he starts concentrating on finding a solution to stop her from killing off her brain.
Notes left behind on the bag, didn't work. They seemed to have been deleted, perhaps?
Notes left behind in the bag, didn't work. The entities didn't want him inside and threw out everything he put in there, as they remembered him.
If he doesn't find a solution, then the endless time loops may never end.
He doesn't know that he simply needs to help her survive until he dies from old age (Due to other plot reasons).
Him, sitting criss cross applesauce on the floor, listening to Aiko yap about how beautiful the sea is (this is the tenth time this day) while she happily circles him. And when she's finally out of breath and words, fall into his lap and curl up like a cat. Which is a good metaphor, considering their height difference- hm...but perhaps a dog would fit better, with her current attitude. Not falling asleep. That's one of the few things which stayed the same. She was still deathly afraid of falling asleep.
