Hello all! As always, feel free to ask me to draw something…if it strikes my fancy I’ll do it…no guarantees as this is a strictly for fun fanart blog which means I might not do it and even if I do, it happens when it happens!

Update on my current hyperfixations that have inspired me to draw: 1) CQL 2) SVSSS. We’ll see if my play through of Tears of the Kingdom will revive my dormant LoZ fanaticism. Also I’ve been really into Mob Pyscho 100 but hard to say if I’ll be inspired by it and how frequently.

Thank you! The Cleopatra painting was sitting way in the back of my head for a while, and just recently I think I saw JW Waterhouse come up and knew who to put in it! Just love the moody paintings and moody faves!

Rulan, after JW Waterhouse’s Cleopatra.

I decided that this would be titled “Rulan” rather than “Jin Ling”, with the thought that the setting of the painting, somewhere in Koi Tower, is one where people are more likely to call him Jin Rulan. I also considered titling it “(New) Sect Leader Jin” but I thought that would be confusing, and “Rulan” better parallels the original painting title.

WIP grumpy Jin Ling! I have been meaning to do a piece based on JW Waterhouse’s Cleopatra. Originally it was going to be Jiang Cheng but with the gold and the dog statue there was no way the painting would be anyone but Jin Ling.

Might take longer than usual for me to finish, stayed tuned!

“Are you sure you’re my shixiong?” Really a rhetorical question, but the man was claiming to be the Yiling Laozu so…

Based off the response to the sketch, we all seem to like Jiang Cheng terrorizing knock off Wei Wuxian, who may or may not be into it.

Good eyes, because there is a reason for that! This pose was based off a Wonder Woman themed life drawing session (I think hosted by Silhouette and Shadow on zoom) and the costume the model wore actually did feature over-knee nine inch boots! (Links might be NSFW) Something like this:

The in-universe explanation is the Jiang sect disciples had an inspired idea to bolster the sect’s anti-demonic cultivation reputation and that was through images and posters with Sandu Shengshou as the face of the campaign.

The real motivation was of course to get paintings of sect leader. They had to use a dummy because fights were breaking out over who got to be kneeled on.

Jin Ling’s Yiyi, Sect leader Jiang! Any last words?

There was supposed to be a short segment where we get WWX thinking Madame Yu dropped down to smite him from the dead, but then realizing she is actually Young Master Jiang fully embracing her trans identity. Unfortunately I couldn’t get it working right, so just this one quick panel from the segment, and none of that context very obvious.
