Hi! I’m alive!!! Sixth comic… at … last… completing this one was one hell of a feat and its especially surprising considering it’s, technically speaking, way simpler than the chassis one i did, which took less than HALF of the amt of hours it took me to make this one LMAO. so sorry for the wait </3

I wanted to show a glimpse of their everyday life in my human au for this one! I planned something entirely different for this prompt at first but i’m saving that for later lol

For context, this is around 4 months into Chell’s time as a test subject at Aperture. Wheatley is assigned as an assistant to the scientist overseeing the test subject batch she is in, testing for some brand new aperture device. He helps with the collection of data, organizing documents and files, setting up programs on the terminals and so on. (And yes, being wheatley, he messes up but he works hard to make up for it. He wants to climb that ladder!!!)

so they spend a considerable amount of time together on a weekly basis. Wheatley, being the yapper he is, opens the mic to (one-sidedly) chat with her, even when he’s not really supposed to. He does it with most test subjects, but he’s grown particularly attached to Chell.

One day he opens the mic like usual, making her look up at him to smirk or something, only to end up distracting her and slowing her performance: threat of being replaced ensues. 

That means not seeing eachother anymore. If wheatley gets moved to a track thats at the opposite end of the sphere, they don’t even get the chance to bump into the other much, if at all. And neither of them want that.
