Senku how do you feel about all the fanfics written about you???
Not gonna lie, it's a little weird seeing people write about me and my friends fucking like that. Humanity really survived 3,700 years just to come back and make fanfic, huh?
And don’t get me started on some of the details. They are wildly inaccurate. My data says I absolutely would not—
...never mind. I'm not giving you idiots more material.
Jokes aside, I don't really mind the fanfics. It's actually kind of interesting that people are analyzing and creating stuff based on us. Though if you want my attention, try throwing some science into the mix. A little research and accuracy goes a long way.

Hyoga could’ve let kohaku fall… he could’ve killed them all if he really wanted to. They all knew that too. It wasn’t a question of if but when for the kingdom of science… but for hyoga.. it *was* if. If he really wanted to perpetuate his old ideals, hurt people he grown to care about. For the promise of a.. *stronger* world.. but these people have already shown themselves to be stronger then he could’ve ever imagined.
So maybe thats why he helped her up. Maybe it was all the eyes on him, piercing like his kuticata(his weapon??) . But he wasn’t focusing on any of them in that moment. The air stagnant with unsaid words. Still, the only eyes that mattered to him the most was tsukasa…
But the old leader of his own empire didnt look at him with concern or worry of a betrayl. No. Instead those eyes… those soft eyes that gazed over him.. they felt assuring. Tsukasa knew hyoga wouldn’t.. thats also why tsukasa chose hyoga as one of his right handmen. He knew him before they actually knew eachother.
after hyoga proven himself to not be… a traitor… the group had fallen into a somewhat comfortable hum. Around a dwindling campfire words were stories, the wind was a song. Everyone seemed comfortable… except..
Hyoga stood away from the others. Leaning against a sturdy tree as the dark green canopy above swayed along with the carrying breeze. Hyoga’s mind was a more fantic whirlwind, though his posture didnt change, his mind ran through different possibilities if he did drop kohaku. Would stan kill him?, maybe he could’ve still been one of the strongest if he played by xeno’s rules.. maybe if-
A voice that almost got carried away by the breeze had snapped hygoa out of those thoughts. “You did good” a voice he knew well. Tsukasa. His old boss, comrade, something more then both those combined. The didnt jump or flinch, he wasnt that type of guy. But his head tilted to look at tsukasa.
But it wasnt something he particularly cared to hear. If anything it felt almost pitying. To do good.. for hyoga it wasn’t something for his moral standpoint. If he let kohaku go then, let her die… then he was almost certain that the kingdom of science would leave him behind if stan caught up.
Because if that sharp shooter who could still hit senku even behind the wall of the perseus caught up to them.. he would need allies, people who would put themselves between a him and a weapon more dangerous then him. So if he really did kill kohaku and had been left behind or even used as a sheild against their persuer, he could die. Death was far scarier then anyone in the kingdom of science could ever pretend to be.
The threat of an old world gun. He had seen the news, though it rarely happened in japan. The international news he would peep every now and then in america.. where stanley was from. A fight breaking out or someone just getting mad. So many injured or dead by one weapon. Its power was imense, even through his years of fighting the thought of being so easily defeated by a piece of machine. It made him sweat.
Either way it wasn’t meant to be a moral dilema for hyoga. It was a tacticle surrender of his morals. He didnt care about what the kingdom of science truly had to offer. But… they seemed to escape the worst of it. Including tsukasa.
Tsukasa blinked once or twice. Without a verbal note or even physical he had felt the air stagnate. Though he wasnt deteered by it at all. “Hyoga…” his voice a soft sigh. Something else was on his mind other then the glaring issue presenting them at the moment.
Hyoga made no sudden move, only the shifting of his head to look at tsukasa. Showing he was listening. Paying attention. Maybe it was because tsukasa used to be the leader of an empire he actaully agreed with.. or maybe because tsukasa could always do that to him. Grab his attention with nothing more then his name.
“You are very good with your kutikata(however you spell that shit)” tsukasa moved to hold where the wound would’ve been. A reminder of a moment where both of them had been at odds with eachother. It wasn’t the fact that they didnt agree with the other’s morals. Far from it. Tsukasa still believed that this world should only be inhabited by the young and pure.. hyoga still believed it should be inhabited by the strong. Similar goals that had been put on hold for someone stronger then any ideal tsukasa wanted to hold to.
His sister. Hyoga knew that too.. maybe he was a little angry. That tsukasa could throw away all the hard work they had done to be dismantled so easily. For his sister. I mean he understood- but at the same time he didnt! Their shared goal was the the betterment of the world, surely no one would get in the way of that. But she did.
“I am..” hyoga agreed. He didnt know what to say. To apologize for almost killing him? Who betrayed who first. But still… after seeing tsukasa dying, he couldn’t help but soften his grip on his weapon. “. . .how is she?” It was a simple question. A reminder of who tsukasa chose.
Tsukasa understood the words. His own softening just a fraction. “Good… she gets along well with everyone” a faint smile appearing on his lips when talking about his sister.
Hyoga gave a small curt nod. Turning his head towards the rest of the thick forest canopy. The moonlight shifting and changing through the changing leaves and branches. The silence hung between the two like a taught rope.
Tsukas was the first to break it again. “Im glad you’re here” a confession so sincere and quiet. The fire crackling behind them and the sound of the other’s laughter and stories almost drowining it out. But between the two of them, it was louder then a lion’s roar.
Hyoga didn’t made a grand spectacle of it. If anything the tension from this shoulders dropped and his grip loosened on his weapon.
That night, even though hyoga never apologized with words he wanted to say. Tsukasa understood him enough to forgive him for it.
