The "twins at the carousel" trend, SuperBat version owo I dunno if Im the first 1 to do this version, I hope so ^^
big fan of baby krypto biting superman
amazing grace
fair warning just a wee little bit sad.
Frequency I've thought about batman. Hes not a god. He has no superstength or speed. Hes a man. Literally a man. It takes no magical weapon or spell to kill him. No maniacal villian. A bullet. Thats all it would take. One well aimed bullet.
Just think: The solgiers marching, the people in black, the music, the coffin. It all really struck me. As a mortal man, there will come a day he retires, or dies as batman. I have to hope its the first, but his character? His villians? Gotham? Its more likely to be the second. Maybe a bomb, maybe a bullet, maybe toxic gas. But somehow, someday, it gets him. They have a public funeral. Keep the mask on. That or hes so mutalated there is no identity to reveal. They invite all the heros. The justice league...the teen titans even teams that were only good guys half the time.
I get tge feeling it would be a lot like stoick's death from HTTYD. The crowds of people who not only worked under him, but along side him. The death of one of the greats, one of the originals. The somber music, perhasps from some great triampant instrament. The solgiers, the gcpd... gordon. I think of the speeches they would all give. Gordon, who lost a partner. Gotham, who lost a protector. The JL, who lost a friend.
Mostly I think about richard. He attends the public funeral, dressed as nightwing. He assures himself he will be fine, that this isnt the first funeral he's been to. He sat through jasons, he can sit through this one. But then he gets there. He see's the coffin. He sees the hoard of people. He see's the death of his mentor put on public blast.
All of their emotions, whether it be as protector, partner, or even friend, break him. The thing is, he doesnt see what any of them see. Not one bit. He doesn't see batman. Symbol of hope and justice. He doesnt see bruce wayne. Symbol of money, philanthropy, and public interest. He sees his dad, and suddenly thats all he can see. No batman. No bruce. Just a guy who saved him as a kid, who raised him, who made him one of a kind.
So while his siblings greieve their mentor, Richard is greiving his father... all over again. Unfortunately, being the oldest, he doesnt feel like he's allowed to cry, allowed to break. He needs to stay strong, so those who feel they must be rocks can let go.So he stands there. Beside redhood, and red robin, and spolier, and orphan, and robin, and signal. He stands calm, and collected, so they feel like they dont have to. He stands fighting back sobs while his father is buried
Like I said, this was gonna be a bit heavy. Also this story was brought to you by the wonderful beautiful bagpipes. If you haven't ever heard amazing grace placed on the bagpipes, so listen.
🤷♀️
Idk if anyone you"ve seen that video from one of the batman games where bruce is in the iceberg grinding on an ice statue (yeah thst video).
I can't explain it, but today all I've wanted is to watch that old man dance to different songs.
Idk man. Thats all.

change
this idea is a little different. I have no song for it, simply a feeling.
One of the strangest feelings you will ever feel is knowing a part of your life is coming to a close. sometimes that feeling lasts seconds, minutes, or even days. Its a rare feeling, because you only truly feel it in the moment. Maybe that last day of middle school, as you looked at all your friends and realized you would never be as close with these people again as you were now. Maybe it was that last preformance, playing the last note, saying the last line, singing the last verse. Maybe it was that moment at your wedding. Or sitting in a deliverly room. Perhasps it was watching your youngest child drive away to college. Whatever stage of life your in, that feeling will follow. Its such a complex emotion. An overwhemling feeling of change, of wanting to cling to what you have, whether that be your friends, your 20s, parenthood or something else entirely. That feeling? Its the fear of time passing and fear of the unknown. We as a species tend to ignore time passing. We tend to take what we have for granted when we have it. Thats why this feeling is so incredibly strong and infrequent. Its life reminding you how very short it is, and you realizing too late how beautiful something was, because now it's coming to a close.
That feeling is so special to me, simply because its so unique. You can try to replicate it, but you can't. You can't plan for it, or prepare. You can't keep the feeling either. It simple comes and go as it wishes, washing over you like a tide of water. In that moment, that minute, this realization just invelopes you, slowing everything around you . That feeling is so very special because it isnt meant to be sad. Its a gift. One final chance to see what you have, to lock it in a memory for all of time. Its such an incredible mix of longing and greif for something that hasn't yet ended, mixed with the love and adoration of knowing actually happened, and saving it in its last moments.
I think bruce has felt this often in his life. Maybe it was when the first anniversary of his parent's death hit. Or when he got taller than alfred. Maybe it was later in his life, when dink became dick, became richard. Maybe it was watching his baby drive away to join the titans. Perhasps it was later in his life, when "kids" became "grandkids", or even when "bruce" became "batman", then became "bruce" once more. Who knows.
This one was a little bit long, and maybe a bit sad, but I can genuinely see bruce having those little moments. Pausing as he looks at the face of others, as time slows just enough for his self hating ass to see what is beautiful and good.
Anyway, have a very good night. Maybe take a moment to think about and apreciate what is good and beautiful in your life. Thats all folks ❤️.

Big John
is anyone else seeing this on their TikTok fyp?
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8x6oEXJ/
Cause this song is all I have. Every video is Big John through different speakers.
Side note, I think Hal would get in on this trend and create the biggest speakers known to man and BLAST this.
Ok thats all.
what was I made for
(good chunk of this is a rant about minority groups and how they are disadvantaged, ignored, or their spaces are stolen, etc.)
Shuffling Spotify, got what was I made for. I remember when barbenheimer was all the rage, when this was all over TikTok. Anyway, this song is beautiful and it speaks to so many people. Mostly women. However it talks about feeling out of place, and not knowing knowing what to do. While yes, that applies to woman, it also applies to other people as well. The queer comunity, no matter what race, has faced discrimination. Their spaces have been taken over, I mean, take into account how gay bars start with gay people, then straight women realize they aren't being hit on there. And then all the strait dudes go there instead because thats where all the women are. Whether they mean to or not, lgbtq people lose their spaces. What was I made for can also be relatable to imigrants. If your whole world is tied to your home and culture, moving somewhere else entirely can feel like a part of you is gone, and you might feel lost. That song is relatable to people of color. Systematic oppression can create a gap in what someone might want for their life, and what unfair laws and prejudice say they can do. So this song could be so many things. However in my mind, I find one character that speaks to me. Wonder woman. I can't imagine how weird it would feel to go from an all female island where everyone is equal, to the real world. Mind you wonder woman in 1941. The whole "1950s house wife" business was still strong and sexism was insane. Women were expected to be ok with abuse from their husbands while not having any real life outside of housekeeper and mother. Imagine going from warrior princess with equal standing as everyone else you know, to being looked at as less than or stupid or "a problem". Sure diana is strong, shes a warrior, but experiencing that level of expectation and sexism wouldn't be easy or fun. I don't think its too far to assume she might feel her sense of purpose lost. Not in a suicide way, rather seeing how others (and herself) and treated and realizing the real world sucks
Thank you for listening to my rant and idea ❤️
stand by me by Ben King
I was listening to music today and this oldie came on. My brain went "I want to do something with this" as brains so often do. So it did. I shared with a friend, who liked it, so I wish to share it with you.
Fair warning this one has some kick. My bad gang. (You'll be fine)
Stand by me is an old song. It has a good message. The kind of thing might sing to their children as a reminder no matter what happens, they can count on them. Its got a drawn out melody and a beat that makes it easy to slow dance to. Maybe martha sung it to bruce as a baby, maybe she slow danced in their libary as that song placed on a record. Maybe sweet little bruce wasn't tall enough to dance the male part of the song, so his mom danced the male version, dumming it down a bit to make it easier for her 7 year old. They danced to that song often. Martha would song along, looking into bruces eyes every time the lyric "stand by me" would. They did this up until her sudden, violent death.
After that, he never really danced that song with anyone. Mostly because Martha has changed so many things, an extra twirl because he liked them, smaller steps, different parts of the dance. Even those who knew how to slow dance didn't know the specific version his mom taught him, and he couldnt bring himself to change it. So whenever he felt sad, he would put on the old record like they always did, dancing the womens part alone, much taller than he had been the last time he danced this as a duo.
That is... until he adopted richard. Richard was new to the mannor. As old as he tried to act, he was still a boy. Short and slim to match. He would puff out his chest durring the day, act brave. But when the night terrors came? When the shadows of the manor seemed to move all on their own? His pajamas dwarfed him, swallowing him like the child he was. Bruce would hear him cry, too afraid and upset to sleep, but still too proud to ask for help. One night Bruce knocked on richard's door. Dink panicked, falling into bed and pretending to be asleep. All it took was bruces gentle voice to get the kid to sheepishly rise. Bruce wasn't harsh. Not at all. He simply led him to the library, put on that old record, and guided that boy the same way his mother had. Those same sized hands couldn't reach bruces shoulders, his feet couldn't reach all the steps, his brain didn't like how few spins there were. So one by one, he changed little things about that dance, until he was dancing that same dance he had made with his mother at richards age. This time, he wasnt the child, dancing with their parent. No. He was the parent dancing with his child.
Like I said, this one has a bit of a kick, but oh I love it so much might be my new favorite fanfiction idea.

Bless the telephone
fanfic idea!
Bless the telephone has this distant feeling. Like friend you used to be really close with but slowly lost that spark. Or the inevitable distance as a child becomes an adult and moves on to college, a nessisary but sad change. Maybe its siblings growing apart, losing that closeness from childhood. I think its jason and bruce still talking, but never getting over that distance jasons death caused. They still care, in the same way you wish a friend well, even if you dont talk anymore. Its voicemails for birthdays "sorry I couldn't call, but I wanted to wish you a happy birthday". Its "oh hey, forgot you had an anniversary. Tell your (partner) congrats". Its keeping up with the milestones but not being close enough to talk daily.
Or...
Bless the telephone is kara and clark. Are they close? Not really. Clark lost krypton as a baby. He grieves it in the same way someone greives a miscarrge. She was there. She grew up there. She lost friends, family, even a part of herself when it blew up. She greives krypton like an actual child. That difference is key here. He greives what could have been, knowing his parents, living on his home. Kara greives what was. She LIVED there, she loved that place. I think that difference of how old they were changes their experince as well. Superman has represented imigrants and their struggles for a lot of people. I agree that both he and kara represent imigrants, however in different ways.
Clark is almost a second generation imigrant. Sure, he was born on krypton, but he has no memories of that place. His idea of krypton is through rose colored glasses and the lenses of others. He learns about it through others, not experiences. His version of krypton is idealic and perfect. Kara lived there. She saw what was good about krypton. She saw what was bad. She chose to love it anyway. She actually lost her home.
Clark got the sob story, the pitty. Kara got trauma.
Still dispite this difference, she calls sometimes. Not because he understands her pain, but because he's the closest to someone who does. He's the only one from krypton besides her left. Maybe he doesn't really get it, but he's the closest she'll get to talking to her parents again, her friends... even that piece of herself.
Man those are both sad. Sorry yall.
500 miles
Fic idea!
I think its jason randomly getting this longing for Wayne manor. He never really knows why. Sure he liked the place, its pretty architecture, its cold floors, and warm fireplaces. Something he just gets these intense longing for home. He ASSUMES its Wayne manor. But home isnt a place. A building itself might be pretty, but unless there are emotions attached, its not a place you feel drawn to. No wayne manor isnt home. Its just where home lives, where he sleeps, eats, parks his car at night, dresses for patrol. Jason cant ignolege he misses a person, so instead he ponders why he misses a place he only kinda loved.
Or...
Its him smelling something, eating something, doing something, and getting this intense feeling of longing and home sickness. After his split with bruce, he never really thought of Wayne manor as home. So now, when he has these random, intense needs for home, he's always confused because "home" in his mind was the dirty, cheap apartment he lived in with his mom as a child, not the Wayne manor. A simple difference in head vs heart.
Thats all!

the clip that inspired it all: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8x2nfMw/
Superman vs batman only works if 1. They're friends 2. Neither is technically in the wrong.
-bruce makes kyrptonite. Hes seen the raw power of superman and he worries that if he were to turn, there would be no stopping, so green rock.Bruce: the alien could be dangerous. There sound be back up plans.Hes not wrong. Clark could be dangerous if mind controlled or corrupted.-one misson clark gets messed up, disorentated, and not in his right mind. Bruce uses the kyrptonite before anything can go wrong. Clark passed out, battle ends shortly afterSets plot in motion.-he wakes the next day, his body feeling wrong. He tells bruce he thinks the villian they were fighting had kyrptonite. Bruce confesses it was actual him who tapped clark out of the battleBoom first conflict- clark tries to ask why he had it, why he used it, how much he has. He tries to get answers, understand, but bruce deflects, and fear gives way. He feels betrayed, his best friend made something to harm HIM and now refuses to answer questions about it.Clark: my BEST FRIEND made something that could hurt me and didnt even tell me, or ask. Thats a huge breach of trust. He refuses to tell me anything about it, does that mean he was hiding it from me?-one night, hes so desperate for answers he flies to bruces house, grabbing him and flying them both into the air for a talk. -bruce grabs the kyrptonite from his utility belt. Not to hurt, but to weaken clark just enough to get away. This sets the b vs s in motion. Both now believe the other wants to hurt them.Bruce: I made a back up plan. He cornered me somewhere I would be weak. Not to mention he showed up at my house. Huge boundary broken.Clark: I just wanted to talk about what hed done... and he used it. Is that how he really feels about me? That I'm a danger and cant be trusted. I justed wanted to talk abd he... he pulled a weapon on me.
Heres the thing, neither does anything wrong. Both can justify their actions. But because of the difference in morals and personality each views the others actions as a threat
Ether way, both are completely valid in their reasons and decions. Clark is superpowered and could be dangerous if he wasn't in right mind or turnedSo bruce is right. Bruce breached trust, creating a weapon that could KILL his bestfriend without even telling him. So clark is right. Both are right in what they do in the jla head quarters. Knowing about plans makes then ineffective. His supply, his reasons, where he keeps them, how much. All of that is ether obvious or highly confidential.so bruce is right. however its not as obvious as he thinks is it. Bruce just confessed to using kyrptonite, the one thing that can KILL clark. He's spiraling and getting no answers. He just used a weapon made for HIM and now he refuses to answer anything. Does that mean he doesn't trust clark? Doesn't like him? If so... is theyre whole friendship built on lies? Both are right to have done what they did in the airClark ambushed bruce, flying him into the air. He invaded bruces HOME to get him, huge boundary so carelessly crossed. So bruce is right. Bruce, without even hearing him out, moved to the worst posible conclusion, that superman wanted to hurt him and attacked. So clark is right.Neither do anything wrong. Just like chemicles arent dangerous on their own, but mixed make a violent reaction.
You have the whole build up, small choices that make sense to each character but seem threatening to another. Bruce usinh kryptonite to stop clark while not in his right mind. Bruce avoiding answering questions about the kryptonite. Clark flying bruce into the sky, bruce attacking clark with kryptonite to get away.
Clark doesnt usually get agreesive, until you start treating people HE loves. Kara shows up on earth. She has a bunch of off wod animals, drinks, etc. Shes flying through gotham, and bruce, not knowing who she is, jumps to conclusions shes some nee villian, maybe a black market dealing (all the stuff) and starts fighting with her. Shes a lot stronger than he expects, and so he quickly starts using more extreme ways of taking her down. Clark, with his superhearing, can hear her being harmed, can sense her heartbeat, and quickly comes to her rescue, only to find bruce. boom, bruce has unknowingly threatened someone clark loves. Hes crossed a line. And now, yet again, clark is in bruces territory, and this time around he looks angry and hostile. Boom big fight.
I like the idea both men are fighting brutally, and eventually are bleeding out, kryptonite poisoning, or cracked ribs. Kara flies back down, next to clark. Shes fine. (Shes half drunk and threw the first punch at bruce ether way) and she points at batman and goes "is this one of the villians you told me about?" And clark goes "no, thats batman" in confusion. This in turn confuses kara "what?". Clark corrects "he's a hero". And kara asks the question that makes both of them realize how silly they are "then why are you fighting? You both want the same things" and clark freezes. Bruce, who is laying on the ground fighting the pain of a cracked rib looks up, and at clark. He too, understands the heart of what kara is saying. Both men, now realizing how stupid this is freeze, and then slowly laugh at their own stupidity. Their ribs hurt, their faces are bruised, but they laugh anyway. (Bonus points if kara is stil half drunk).
kara started the fight with batman. Shes drunk and overconfident. While the boys are fighting she just watches, and afterwards when they've beaten each other to pulps and are laying on the ground broken, bleeding, and bruised, riddled with pain. She flies down, stumblinging over her own feet. She asks, not to prove a point but because shes DRUNK and so consufused as to who the cat dude is. Clark corrects her, not with patience at first (he has kyrptonite poisoning and feels like his body is failing him) so he responds cold, harsh, and quick "no thats batman. Hes a hero" its said quickly, like a parent might correct a child who keeps asking why. It isnt until the "your both want the same things" he stops replying short and annoyed. And even after, bruce stands up, clark stands up. They laugh at their own stupidity. Kara goes to vomit beer in a dumster.
I did this because I don't want it to feel out of character for anyone. Clark isnt normally agreesive, so b vs s doesnt work unless he misunderstands or thinks someone he loves is beinh threatened. Bruce isnt confrontational. He preps and plans, so if hes questions for doing so, he would have his own feelings for that. Kara isnt perfect, she goes off to other planets and gets drunk. Whats stopping her from coming back and starting a fight with the batman? I liked this ending more than the other ones because it really does show the stupidity of their fight. At their roots, even with their differences, they're just two men who wish to spread hope.
I'm sorry. That was long. I hopes you liked it though. Also I wrote the ending dialog and what not for this. Might post it 🤔.
For Good
this one is sad. Sorry.
One of my first ideas was based on the song for good from wicked. I watched it in theatres and had this itch it matched two characters, but couldn't figure out which characters until I watched under the red hood. As much as I love jason and bruce getting along, the current run for jason tends to be very anger focused. After a Lil chat with my bestfriend, she brought up something I hadn't really thought about. Anger is like fire. Sure, it burns big and bright at first, but after awhile, if there isn't any new fuel, it dies. What's left isnt anger or greif, its nothing. The fire eats it all and leaves nothing. So applying that to jason and bruce, I give you for good.
In the song elphaba and glinda each talk about how the other has changed them, for the better, or just in general. This is important to know and if you haven't heard the song or watched the movie none of this makes sense.
General concept was at some point in the future, Jason and bruce have come to a draw. Neither can see each other without old feelings of anger and hurt coming up. Years of argument after argument get boring fast, and they end up recycling the same hurtful words. Both know it gets them nowhere, and so, one random night, jason decides to simply talk with bruce. (This is where the context of for good is important) they sit on a rooftop, awkwardly getting out the words they both need to say. Importantly though, this isn't reconciliation, its goodbye. A healthy goodbye, in which both realize trying to hold on or fix their relationship hurts both of them. Its not love, but respecting each other, and themselves enough to let the other go.
Like I can see them on the rooftop (not singing of course) but these exact words. Jason as glinda/Ariana, gently begining the conversation towards no contact, bruce as elphaba/Cynthia, picking up exactly what his boy is saying and understanding instead of fighting like he always does.
That was kinda long. Also sad. Again, sorry
The melting
I'm really sorry again... this one is also sad. My bad gang.
Its bruharvey (my beloved). Can be interpreted as lovers or friends. Basically harvey post accident killing someone (which happens in caped crusader) and being on a wanted list. Bruce ends up finding him on a tall building, and revealing his real identity in an attempt to get harvey to actually listen to him. Its their conversation about Harvey's dreams (not just being a lawyer, but becoming major and putting a stop to the abuse he saw loved ones go through) its bruce reassuring him he can still achieve his dreams. But its not enough, harvey makes bruce promise to use his public, and private identity to help do what he couldn't, before jumping. Bruce must flee the scene. Batman cant be thought of as a killer, and bruce cant be found there, because of how negative the people of gotham are about harvey. (If youve seen wicked, this is very similar to what elphaba makes glinda promise to do before she lets Dorothy kill her. Shes not dead, but glinda believes her to be)
I actually thought I would write this at some point. Like I wrote out the dialog for Harvey's death like a play script. But again, I got busy, so this too is just an idea. I might post the dialog tho 🤔.

Somebodies watching me
Important to note. This one was created out anger that the dark knight had not accurately portrayed harvey dent. You must listen to my tiny rant before we continue, 1. Harvey has DID or more commonly known as MPD. This means he developed multiple unique personalities. They are independent of each other, and should answer to their names. Harvey responds to harvey dent. Two face responds to two face. Importantly this means harvey effectively has a whole person in his head with him. Two face isnt just 'angry harvey' he has thoughts, fears, and aspirations. As seen in comics and btas.
2. Harvey and two face are not friends. While they may coexist together, harvey knows two face shouldn't exsist, thats why he first tries to suppress him when he appears. This means two face is effectively a parasite, because if the host does not wish you there, and you are there despite that, you are a parasite. Its been seen multiple times when given the chance, harvey tries to get rid of two face. (As seen in btas "second chance" when harvey tries to get cosmetic surgery done, and two face has goons bust in and stop the procedure).
Inspired by the song "somebodies watching me". This fic is set in the 80s (because why not? Fun clothes, great music, POP CULTURE BABY). Harvey dent is post accident, the doctors have done the best they can, but he's still incredibly scarred, and will be for life. He believes everything is fine, until he begins having dreams. A hooded figure that can be found in all his nightmares. At first miles away. He tells his therapist this, who comforts him by making him believe hes still a bit jumpy from his attack. He tells bruce this, who tells him the same. Yet the figure persists. He gets out of the hospital and back to his apartment, where strange things keep happening. His door is left wide open, he finds his car where he didnt part it, he finds his office ransacked. (Again this is 80s, pre- high tech cameras) all the while these attacks happen, the figure in his dreams gets closer and closer. Hes not miles away anymore, hes feet away. Until one night, he gets close enough for harvey to pull its hood off. Who does he see? None other than himself. He awakes in a cold sweat and goes to the mirror. He stares at himself, relaxing as he realizes nothing is different. Until the left side (damaged side) of his face begins smiling on its own, and talking to him (boom two face reveal).
This does a few things for me that I really want to see in actual movies. 1. Two Face does just appear, he slowly creeps in2. Harvey doesn't just accept him, it takes months of people telling him he's crazy, or traumatized, or paranoid from his attack. It already feels like everyone has turned their back on him, Gotham, his therapist, and even Bruce. Two Face can easily tell pretty little lies to make Harvey feel even more isolated. This also helps to show that two face is really a parasite. He has to manipulate and groom harvey into believing hes the only one that can help him (so harvey lets him stay). 3. Its body horror, which I find very cool4. So many of the "creepy" things he experiences, such as his door open or his car parked elsewhere are common experiences with DID. Patients experience memory gaps, and feelings of paranoia.4. The 80s help explain a lot of why this isnt caught earlier. High tech cameras catching him do weird stuff, dont exsist. Mobil phones, dont exsist. He has a corded telephone and a dream. Plus there is cool clothes, music, and athsetic, which is always nice.
I'm so sorry this was so long. Thank you for reading.
drag path by 21 pilots
bruces 60th birthday, and he promised his kids he would hang up the cape if he ever made it that far. Well he did, so hes retiring. Its him visiting old crime scenes, the batsignal. Its him going to talk one final time with gordon, before the man the retired commissioner knows is essentially dead. Bruce and the bat aren't the same person, so when the bat goes away, bruce keeps living, but gordon doesn't know bruce, he knows the bat. Its bruce going back to the cave and looking at all the little reminders of his kids, and teammates. Its him going upstairs and welcoming in his kids, their spouses, and grandchildren. Its presents and cake. Its a family photo, all of them squeezing into the frame to fit. Its that most recent photo getting framed next to a picture of bruce and alfred, the year after his parents death. All of the fic is bruces drag path. The lives hes touched as batman, gothams citizens, the rogues, and gordon. But its also the lives he touched outside the cape, alfred, his kids, and grandkids. Not only people, buy its physical reminders, proof not only in the people, but in the objects he existed both as bruce and the bat. The batmobil, the batsignal, the batcave, the batcomputer. If you haven't heard the song, just search it on TikTok (cause you cant really find it anywhere else).
Thats all!
