One of two unofficial first installments of False Polychronicon aired on WPRB Princeton 103.3 today (last night?) from 1-3 am! I was going for a mix between somber folk and dreamlike abstraction for the late night soundtrack

ALBUM REVIEW: Chrysanthemum by Chrysanthemum
A solid album. Chill electric guitar, mildly cheesy romantic yearning, and that classic yet divisive whiny emo boy voice. A mixture of rainy day vibes and angst, though not quite committing to either. Thereās an effort towards sad lyrics if you focus enough to figure out what they're saying. There's also an occasional echo effect I am ambivalent towards. The song titles are more charming than the songs themselves, which to me is a complement to the song titles rather than it is a diss to the songs. In my opinion, the biggest drawback is that many of the tracks sound very similar. The first, second, and last are the most refined, and in my opinion the best on the record. If this album was a color it would be a dusty purple- do with that what you will.
Overall, lovers of emo, especially the east coast sound, will definitely find enjoyment in this album
