There is something disjointed about Gotham’s offense that is frustratingly hard to pinpoint….time will tell in short order if Kerr is the solution.

Let’s face it, she definitely could get that much or nearly that much from other clubs in Europe or the Americas. Clubs that, even if they literally cannot be in champions league play, certainly offer far more tangible upsides than LCL. Not to sound like I’m shitting on LCL, cause as an NWSL OG I deffo like the idea of an independent club, but someone with her resume doesn’t necessarily need to engage with that type of club. Alexia doesn’t need the money, but should get paid what she deserves. She’s won and done pretty much everything that she could, and I don’t think she’ll ever be at the stage of her career where she would actively make the choice to go to a club to help build “an exciting new project”. LCL is honestly not that bad of a club and not too foreign of a notion to fit that bill.

Given the fact that Nadine Kessler has been wildly forward with the publicizing of the new “anti multi ownership” rules, it makes it even stranger that she would jump ship and go to a team like LCL. She’s stayed at Barca through so much, probably taking less in salary to accommodate cap constraints/financial restrictions and using her voice to advocate for her teammates. A lot for anyone to deal with, under any circumstance, but what is the draw here?
