Urogi does it the most, as he's the most impulsive. Karaku really only does it to tease his opponent or right before he makes a kill.

Aizetsu mostly does it towards the other clones when he finds something distasteful.

Hello! It took me a long time of searching as well for my art, but I firmly HC Urogi as a mountain hawk-eagle! It's not a 100% match- I don't believe there actually IS (particularly for the back of his wings, Theres plenty with barring, but I cant find any that are pale on part of the backside. Oh well!). It's especially difficult because his canon wing anatomy is extremely wonky and really doesn't look like a bird's wing at all haha. I used to HC him as a crested honey buzzard, but the strong barring fits the hawk-eagle closer. The bird is native to Japan as well, so it's become my top pick for references!

I knew from the beginning when I started this fic and started worldbuilding for Hiraeth that I wanted her to have separate relations with each of the clones because they're all vastly different people despite originating from the same entity! Im glad that's coming through in the tiny posts I make here 😌 🙌

I thought I had answered an ask similar to this in the past, but I cant seem to find it, so I suppose I will take the moment to really chisel my own opinion on Zohakuten's physical age in stone since its still a controversy and because people still try to justify lewding him, which is sickening to me as someone with close family that dealt with csa. Its not really an opinion so much as me blathering about canon fact and giving receipts lmao. On that note, this will be my only post about it, as I feel this whole document makes my view quite clear. I will be citing and debunking several arguments I've seen along various platforms over the years in the fandom. I also want to preface by stating that if you feel the need to argue, just block me because that's all you'll receive from me. I have 0 interest in debating whether Zohakuten is a child or not as its not headcanon but 100% canon fact:

To answer your question, no, Charlie and Zoha never meet enough for their relationship to expand past him barely tolerating her being able to breathe (though i may doodle some noncanon interactions or reincarnated au at some point), and they never ever in any AU would date. Charlie is a full-fledged adult in every AU she reunites with the clones, and Zohakuten is a canonically intended to be a child. Even in Modern Au, she sees Zoha as a little brother.

It doesn't matter that the main entity is 200-300 years old. There are multiple official canon sources that place Zohakuten directly at being very young physically, and this point is furthered when you consider that it's Genya that says this- which means that Zohakuten is young enough that someone else who is a child himself (16yo) is commenting about it.

I think people also forget that the clones likely aren't meant to exist for extended periods of time outside the main body, or they would exist in the material realm constantly as scapegoats and Hantengu never would've bothered tricking Muichiro and Tanjiro. Furthermore, we have no evidence they are here on ANY plane of existence, including in his mind a la Inside Out, except when Hantengu is beheaded and directly materializes them. Theres no evidence that they even have their own memories- when Sekido talks about how Muzan gave incomplete information, he is referring this from Hantengu's memory and not his own personal branch of memory. We also dont have evidence that anyone aside from Nakime (possibly) and Muzan can use their BDA at a 24/7 constant. I think we can take this as a strong implication that Hantengu HAS to be beheaded to activate his BDA, since the clones are never mentioned by anyone at all- surely Muzan would've mentioned them at some point? This means that Hantengu's age as the main entity is irrelevent whether they share his mind away from him or not because the clones dont have a true biological age outside their immediate existence. The interactions between the clones and main entity are, as enjoyable as it is to think about, completely fanon outside of battle and protection.

"Zohakuten calls the main trio 'kids'": Yes. Because he shares the main entities' mind. Thats doesn't make him not a child. If you could implant an adult humans brain into a kid, that wouldnt make that child less of a child. In the same arguement as calling the trio 'kids', he also has an extraordinarily childlike view of himself as quite literally the superhero for Hantengu. This is supported both by the way he speaks and also by his soundtrack.

"He has a deep voice":

Yes, he does. A lot of human teens have very deep voices as well. Puberty is whack. His voice honestly isn't that extreme and is well within the range of human teens that I've been around IRL and also seen on TV (actual teens. Not adults playing teen roles, which is a whole different can of worms). I've seen the argument that he's older based on his voice multiple times, and every time, I can't help shake my head at how bad that argument really is.

Note the verbatim as well- "that child/hes a child/hes a kid- ie: he is a child/kid. The only one who says "looks like" is Mitsuri, and she's referring to that he is a demon that takes the form of a human child but is not a human, not that he's older than he looks.

"but no kid has that amount of muscle!":

This argument is very silly because it directly ignores the canon evidence we have of the Corps kids CANONICALLY sharing that physique (Tanjiro, Inosuke, Genya, etc). They are still all young teenagers.

Also, IRL child bodybuilders exist. Theres children 8-14yo with just as much muscle and the exact physique as Zoha is portrayed to have, and that doesn't make them any less of a child.

When you look at Zoha's official figure merch (and official art), hes obviously not just short. He has the physical proportions of a kid. Even standing official art side-by-side next to Karaku and Urogi, who both show a similar amount of bare skin, you can tell that he's intended to be much younger than them (larger ears, slightly smaller forehead, larger horns, smaller hands, shorter forearms, smaller biceps, a less mature look overall, etc). If they weren't, they would have the same body style. It is of course much harder to tell in the manga, as the art style makes almost everyone's basic silhouette look very similar, but visual differences are still there outside obvious defining features.

Please note that I am NOT talking about RL adult humans who have these features. This is not about you. You are an adult, regardless of whether you have traditionally 'childish' features. If zohakuten was JUST short or JUST smaller in anatomical features, this post wouldnt exist to begin with.

Re: Mitsuri's brother as an arguement;

Mitsuri is canonly the eldest daughter of 5 siblings, and is 19 at the SMV. There is no word on whether the sibling her mother was pregnant with in flashbacks in which she picked up a 33lb stone at 13 months is her brother. Considering this and that she is the ELDEST, I think its highly likely that her mother had several girls before becoming pregnant with the brother. This is further evident when you see canon images of her little brother in which he is obviously several years younger and at a different developmental stage. Even if her mother had children back-to-back, its very clear that her brother is at least 4 years younger than her. Which places him around 14 or 15 at the events of the SMV. 16 at latest, but I dont agree with that.

Mitsuri also most likely would not have been quite as shocked by Zohakutens language had he looked closer to her own age.

In conclusion:

Zohakuten is a young teenager. He CANONLY represents a child, and I will not debate this. I personally place him at 14 years old.
