Long before humanity built kingdoms, crossed oceans, or named the constellations above them, the stars watched over as silent protectors of earth.
They watched people laugh, love, fight, fail, dream, and live lives filled with emotion and purpose. And because of this slowly, many of the stars grew jealous.
Humans were fragile and needed constant protection, and yet possessed something the stars never could: freedom.
Soon they decided they wanted this to themselves. Their envy spread through the heavens until it became impossible to ignore.
As punishment for their greed and jealousy, the celestial powers cast the envious stars from sky and into the sea.
Enter Astarias who was born years after the curse never fully understanding it as it had happened eons before, yet he was punished just the same for doing nothing as a precaution same as the others.
Because of this he got tired of being imprisoned, and one day trapped what little magic from being a star he still had in a ring, disguising as a human and escaped to land. He was finally free, however freedom always comes with costs and risks especially to someone who has never experienced it.
