Leap of Faith

Ibn Qayyim alJawziyyah said that all of Islam is four things: all of it is rahmah, all of it is maslaha, all of it is hikmah, and all of it is justice. So if you see something go from mercy to cruelty, from benefit to harm, from wisdom to foolishness, or from justice to oppression, know that it has nothing to do with this religion.

isn’t it funny how one of the fundamental reasons hijabs and other headcoverings are worn is so that muslim women are not subjected to superficial discernment and judged by their character rather than their beauty, but the western world has subverted that value and objectified millions of muslim women by reducing them to the garment they choose to wear, criticising the loss of their identity and individuality? and by funny I mean not at all???

My hopeless romantic says yes but my independent woman says no

the struggle is real. 

People become attractive over time as you get to know them. Someone who you once felt completely neutral towards can make your stomach do somersaults. It’s not that they were not good looking to begin with, it’s just that things happened which made your conscience ease up and your heart changed. Good character can contribute to how someone perceives you.

i honestly just need someone to come into my life that really genuinely cares about me and wants to sit and have long conversations about things that actually matter and wants to go on adventures late at night and wants to be there for me at my lowest points and celebrate with me at my highest points and just be the rock that keeps me going when life gets rough
