because seriously i have so much respect for the adventure time team. they’ve made a successful cartoon that isn’t random poop and fart jokes for a solid eleven minutes. sure, adventure time has its immature moments, but then there’s parts like this.

pb’s backed up against the wall in a position that’s way too common in today’s society. you can tell she’s scared and uncomfortable. so what does she do? she beats the shit out of ricardio.

she doesn’t “play nice”, she doesn’t “let him down gently”, she tears off his limbs and stomps on his face. then ricardio tries to play the nice guy card and she has none of it. it’s refreshing to see something aimed at children that doesn’t state that girls need to be polite and sweet and stand by while someone makes them uncomfortable.

Please help me raise money for my surgery!!

Hello! I’m Sam, a 23-year-old non-binary/”female to male” transsexual trying to raise money to go toward a procedure called a “simple metoidioplasty” — this surgery, in short, creates a phallus from already existing tissue on my body. It’s very safe and has very satisfying end results, and after a lot of research and deliberation seems like the absolute best option for me.

Because I experience extreme dysphoria, having my genitals in the arrangement they currently are causes me severe distress on a regular basis. Even simple tasks like showering every morning and confronting my body is enough to cause me psychological pain. It contributes highly to my ongoing struggle with anxiety and depression, and my quality of life would improve exponentially if I were able to have this procedure done. 

I’m currently a self-employed artist — I make a living by crocheting toys and wearable items (such as hats and scarves) (you can see my work on my Etsy page: http://greywombat.etsy.com). I suffer from debilitating OCD that limits my ability to work a traditional job, and working from home has allowed me to improve my mental health quite a bit, but my income is highly variable and often not enough to get by. I’m fortunate enough to have a loving partner that helps to support my day to day expenses, but even our combined income is just enough to pay for basic necessities such as rent and food, so there is simply just never enough to put away to go toward a surgery fund. 

This is why I’m looking for help — every dollar that goes toward my surgery fund helps me get closer to my goal, and makes me feel more optimistic about having a future where I no longer have to suffer from this discomfort every day. The degree to which this would change my life is impossible to adequately describe, and I also cannot describe how grateful I would be for any contribution.
