Who am I, even? Who am I really? All I know is the disguise I crafted for myself to match my appearance. But how much of it is actually me?

Something about hearing my human father say "as a family" while he prays over dinner irks me. Makes me so insanely uncomfortable. I know I'm an intruder in this space. I am not part of this family. If you knew what I was you wouldn't want me here. If you knew what I was you would torture it out of me or worse. Yet here I am, not objecting to the use of the word "family," knowing damn well you are speaking falsehood.

Oh my god, just let me go home. This is way too much. This is way too much for me. I should be at home with my mother but I haven't so much as seen her in months. I need to be held. I want Mother to hold me. Like the child I am. I wanna go home. Where it's safe. Where there is nothing more to worry myself about. Why of all the faerie children did it have to be me that was exchanged? I hate it here. Don't make me be human anymore.

I wish I had like,,, a physical pair of wings. Costume wings. I don't make enough to be able to get them for a long time if ever, but it'd be really cool to have.

I hope my mother is proud of me when I return home. I hope I can tell her everything about this place. I hope I'll have done good in her eyes.
