[š]Ā The sun, nearly painted over by indigo hues on the large canvas above, gave a final adieu to the land below, the last few beings who passed by slowly making their way back to the comfort of their houses. Of course, the flower girl could do no such thingā certain flowers glowed upon the coming of night, and, on Free Flower Day, it felt like a sin to not give someone else such a wondrously beautiful gift. The flower would not die, nor would it ever wilt, thanks to her special way of growing the beauties; truly a marvel to behold. Seeing one of the last few people walking aboutā a demon, specificallyā she quickly constructs a flower crown, a bountiful cornucopia of different shades and breeds, only to stand atop tiptoes to place it along the surface of his head. Curtsying, she lifts her head, a smile skirted by rosy cheeks directed toward him, hands grappling at the hem of her dress still.Ā
āMy, my! You look simply dashing, your Highness! Quite stunning, if I do say so myself.ā
As rare as it was for him to leave his little abode, a few things worked as good motivators to make his way into the more social world. Be it food, comfy clothes, things at lower than average prices, and little events here and there. And with word spread and a few little advertisements for one that seemed cute and fairly small, he might as well try to give it a look. Even if it was with an air of shyness and minor anxiety he tended to get from walking out during the day. However, he certainly wasnāt expecting such a greeting. It was at least enough to bring some ease to the goof, along with some slight embarrassment.
It took him a second, but he managed to get what she was doing. āOh, well, thatās quite the compliment.ā
[š] At first, she assumed that the compliment had simply pushed past his boundaries of comfort, though she, herself, was at ease once he spoke in return. A tint of pink crossed her cheeks, and she laughs quietly, standing straight up once more, her basket tucked beside her as usual. Strands of hair fell into her line of sight, and she merely swept them aside, a flutter arising within her chest; it was pleasant to talk to someone. Demons and humans may walk the same streets, though there were still ones who would shoot the others dirty looks, as if they were lower than themā as if they were dirt. The flower mistress was not one of those types, however, as she simply enjoyed bringing happiness to all with her blossoms and buds. Attention turning back toward the male, she gives a pause before speaking again.
āIām sorry, that was a bit straightforward, wasnāt it? My puns are awkwardly executed at times; my apologies!ā
