Well, for some time now I've wanted to talk about what bothers me a lot on social media, the excessive representation of a single desirable body in the gay world: the shabby body! And here on Tumblr it's no different. I follow some # related to the gay universe (for being gay too) and I see that most of the photos and related posts are of explicit nudity and fit bodies reaffirming as always the same body pattern desired and affirmed by the media. I don't know if you who always consume this type of content haven't realized how much of a problem this is! This reaffirms superficial body-based relationships, not to mention it acts on your body's chemistry. Your brain sees these photos and always reassures you that the pleasure comes from them, on a personal level it can frustrate you so much because you realize that it is not desirable for not having a body in this mold and having superficial relationships with others and being frustrated that people do not have these bodies, making it impossible to open up to something deeper! We are the generation that learned what sex is from pornography! we associate sex with an act of just rubbing genitals and forget the importance of the encounter, we identify it with a type of sex whose sole purpose is to obtain pleasure and we forget that the way and the other in the process!
