so does anyone else like the vibe of a small town with supernatural and eldritch happenings, but then you enter a small house, diner, or gift shop and everything is insanely cozy?

like, the fae are out there man, they’ll get you if you go out it that there fog and the sailors keep talking about the big shadows that pass by their ships. a kid went missing in the woods for a week and came back significantly changed by strange magic, but no one acknowledges it because it’s normal. the radio towers up the mountain make strange noises every night that you can’t ignore; they call to you, like sirens of the woods.

but despite all that, we’ve made this small old house our home with warm blankets and good food. we sing songs in the kitchen and we stay up talking all night while the tall things in the fog pass by and it’s so so lovely.
