I don’t read much fable fanfiction just because most of it isn’t personally my taste however, the best fable fanfiction I have ever read was a Garth X Reaver fanfiction that was made before Fabel 3 even came out. I only started reading it because I had never thought to pair those two together but it was actually really good.

In middle school I didn't know Tumblr so I went to reddit instead, seeking the Fable community. Ended up deleting the app.

Re-downloaded it out of curiosity like 2 years ago and the differences between reddit and Tumblr are STRIKING. People on reddit seem much more agressive than on Tumblr and way more focused on gameplay than the relationships between characters + the lore. It also seems less gay than Tumblr.

I feel like Hammer and Sparrow is love-based with maybe some trauma-bonding. Reaver and Sparrow was born out of pure trauma-bonding.

I seen Sparrow x Hammer being a very trauma bonded relationship especially on hammer’s part, and Sparrow x Reaver being a relationship where they hated each other so much that they had to kiss for some reason. I just feel like Sparrow and Reaver would have a very toxic and “casual” relationship.

I feel like in both ships they would not admit they were dating but clearly are doing relationship stuff together. Either way I think it ends in a messy break up.

Yall don’t understand how much I love Hammer X Sparrow. They are the definition of doomed yuri to me.

I love to imagine that hammer has some very homoerotic feelings for sparrow but also feels very angry for living in their shadow and feels like all of the bad shit thats going is somehow sparrows fault. Sparrow is busy with their own life and barely gives her a second glance, but Hammer can’t help but desperately want their approval.

Sparrow cares for Hammer, but Sparrow was the world to Hammer for a long time after her dad died.
