Now that everyone is discussing Nolan's Odyssey movie, I feel like it's a good time to let non-Italians know that the production dumped plastic props into the Italian sea. Weirdly enough I could not find any article in English about it but it's a fucking problem nonetheless.
I might translate this article later today. This one was the most complete one, even in Italian news it's not talked about that much.
Non è la prima volta che la produzione solleva un vespaio in Sicilia. A Lipari una squadra di sub sarebbe però già impegnata a bonificare i
They dumped plastic skeletons in environmentally protected areas, against the literal contracts they had to sign to get the permits to film in environmentally protected areas. Like they not only did a bad ecological thing that freaked out some divers, they literally broke environmental protection laws and their contract with the Italian government
Happy 5th anniversary of my boob nerf! Still one of the best things I’ve done for myself and best $9k spent. 🥳
There was a Rocky on the Decepticon throne in the Artist Alley at TFcon. :)
For my HMO Vol. 5 sketch, I requested Devilman. :)

Ghost at TFcon? It’s more likely than you think!
I’m in Canada now!
It’s TFcon time!
TFcon is this Saturday. Alex didn’t open commission preorders and hasn’t advertised any new prints or books. He’s been dead quiet for many months. I know he’s still alive because he was still taking HMO orders from China as of April. I really hope he’s alright and not struggling with health issues again…
As much as I’d love to commission him to draw some Predators this time, I really hope he’s not overworking himself through his chronic health issues. This man has brought work with him to the hospital before when he had that heart surgery… I really, really hope that his radio silence these past couple months means he’s prioritizing his health and well being over satisfying fans, and not that he’s too ill to keep an online presence.
As someone who has never seen an episode of He-Man, and only knows the franchise through memes and references, I actually enjoyed the new movie, it was so campy and whimsical, just like the reputation of the OG 80s series and the memes it spawned. From what I can see, a lot of the older fans really liked it too.
Looks like Travis Knight really cares about “getting it right”, appealing to older fans and giving them a good nostalgia trip while making something new and refreshing. Cuz the same thing happened with Bumblebee and TF fans. I hope he keeps making movies like this.
Finally got them all moved in together

I saw The Mandalorian and Grogu yesterday. I did not watch the show or any other Star Wars series. I don’t know anything about Star Wars outside of the original trilogy, the prequel trilogy, TFA, Rogue One (thanks to @eabevella), and the Clone Wars 2D animation.
I had fun watching the movie, although the sound was SO LOUD that I had to cover my ears like half of the time. I had no problem with the sound in that auditorium when I saw PHM though… it must be because it’s an action movie? Perhaps the next time I go see an action movie I should bring my concert earplugs…
Other than the sound being too loud, I really enjoyed the movie. The characters had believable motives that drove the plot. Poor Mando though, he probably didn’t get to eat real food until everything was over. Fighting hungry, tired and injured must’ve been tough.

Avatar makes me so happy like nothing else. Absolute legend of a band. Sickass sounds, distinct melodies, diverse subject matters, sophisticated lyrics, delicately balanced ratio of growls and beautiful clean vocals, unmatched manic energy at live shows, incredible showmanship, and perfect chemistry between all bandmates. No star ego, no dramas, no controversies, just fun, passion and good vibes all around.
God I love them silly boys so much. They have so much on and off stage content, and I have yet to see a single bad one.

Movie Ryland Grace is so attractive to me as an ace person… he is untouched by toxic masculinity, isn’t afraid to show vulnerability, emotions and flaws, and he likes crocheted and knitted things. AND he comes across as very ace.
He’s the ideal type of buddy I’d love to have.
I saw Lee Cronin’s The Mummy and Hokum in the same week.
The Mummy was a disappointment, I went in with no expectations and still left unimpressed. It was just a very typical demonic possession movie but with some mummy aesthetics. I have seen too many movies like it, it didn’t bring anything new to the table.
Hokum on the other hand, gave me a completely opposite experience. I went in with high expectations and was still very impressed. I had been looking forward to it because I really liked Caveat and Oddity. Damian McCarthy really knows how to balance supernatural scares, suspense and murder mystery, and create genuinely creepy and oppressive atmospheres without losing focus. I hope he keeps making horror movies.
