So all this election talk has got the bbc formula one coverage was supposedly delayed until 12.45 until when waiting for it to start i suddenly heard the chain only by chance because i was playing RATM in anger. I switched tabs and turned the music off and switched to the stream that i thought would of gone live at 12.45 a quick tweet about where the coverage was playing and the speakers ramped up to high with the chain and a sigh of relief. But it was only by chance i was using the stream at that time otherwise i would of missed most of the pre-race build up and that would of not made me a happy bunny. Then i made a run downstairs to catch it on the red button because of the higher quality feed. Anyway this change was hardly good timing and i wonder how many people lost out because they didn't have access to the red button or an available internet connection and the fact that it was an unexpected change.

Seriously lets take a look at what replaced a large chunk of the BBC's output, another program on the election with David Pratface Cameron, wow couldn't you of switched to BBC two instead of interrupting a hours worth of pre-race build up that i would of missed if it wasn't for sheer and utter luck and also we know also the result of the election so why do we need ANOTHER ELECTION PROGRAM!? we've had enough election coverage now. It was Saturday and i want to watch the F1 not it being taken up by the election.

I think that about does it, look i know this post seems a bit critical of the BBC schedule but i really didn't want F1 time to be taken by politics at the last minute. Also it is very rare for a complaint on something on the lines of the BBC to be heard from me, i support the BBC and its coverage of Formula one very much but i felt i could make this so that they can take note and prevent this happening again. 

Reports are saying that USF1 is on its last legs and that it has said it no longer requires it only driver and has money problems. To me from what i've heard from the press, USF1 has Not dismissed its driver BUT they do have money problems and are in the process of asking the FIA to skip the Bahrain Grand prix. Even though yes the Concorde agreement allows the new teams to skip races the FIA rulebook says that there will be trouble if any team misses any races apparently with a hefty fine, USF1 missing races would take away valuable money that the team need.

Very interesting and varied lap times, I'm surprised to see Force India second and Williams third. But Jaime Alguersauri was interesting yesterday by the fact that he landed on top for Toro Rosso and given the fact that they were perviously Minardi who were the longest back runners in their time compiled with the fact that they no longer have Red Bull on their side to provide them the chassis and generally help them. I find it quite an achievement.But today i find quite surprisingly they were overtaken by new comers Virgin and the time is an good improvement from the 1:28ish mark yesterday.

Having a look at Ruben's time, its not bad pace Williams are doing. As i said in an earlier post i think Williams fortunes are turning.

For about a year now, a thought has always come up at the beginning of a new season, it is always about Williams and how i can just tell there frustrating at the position they are in, and i've always wanted them to resurge to the old days of winning races and being a contender for world championships and constructors crowns.

After from what seems a few steady years, the signs seem to be looking up for the team. Firstly by the fact that the "manufacturers return" period seems to of ended according to wikipedia and i couldn't agree more with the success of Force India, Brawn GP and Red Ball. All independent. That's not to say that the manufacturers teams have had success as well, but independents had success last year.

So where does this lead me to, i think definitely a resurgent Williams team is Definitely on the possibility list this year and i believe they could be the team to watch of 2010.

Seems the Mercedes team have made the start in launches, well at least in the liveries section. The car on display was a BGP 001 badged up with the "silver arrows" livery that will be used this season.

I don't think the livery seems that much different from the one used on the 2009 brawn car, however i will admit it may just be me and that the fact it maybe that i'm just looking at basically the 2009 car with mercedes colours.

The real thing will be revealed next week in Testing in Valencia, so no official car launch unfortunately, but it is nice to see Michael Schmacher back. I think he looks right back where he belongs. I'm looking forward to him reigniting his rivalry with Alonso and possibly setting new ones off with the likes of Hamilton and Team mclaren with there all British lineup Things are looking good for Nico Rosberg I think he'll have a good chance of claiming his first race win this year.
