My one sheet art for All I Can Say, an interesting and touching film made up of Hi8 video shot by Blind Melon’s lead singer, Shannon Hoon. It touches on all parts of his life – the birth of his child, touring life, family, creative process – from 1990 to his death in 1995. Two unused covers and the final art for Rhino Records’ The Doors Live at The Matrix LP. I was able to find a very poor quality, extremely low resolution jpg of the original flyer for the show which needed a lot of work to be of use. So aside from changing the size and shape to fit an LP cover, my recreation of the flyer art is as faithful to the original as possible. This became the final cover but the first two shown here were in the mix until the very end. #TheDoors #RhinoRecords #LiveattheMatrix #vinyl

Packaging design, illustration, and DVD menu design of Michael Radford’s 1984 for The Criterion Collection. The art director approached me to do an illustration that felt contemporary to the original 1948 publication of the book. I’ve always loved the illustration and design of that era, so this was really exciting. The soldier and the exterminator images were originally presented in slightly different forms as ideas for the cover which I then repurposed for the interior of the package once we decided on the cover seen here. The terms 1984 and Orwellian have been thrown around quite a bit over the years and they usually don't fully apply. However, among the endless stream of other horrors, it is in fact chilling to have the current occupant of the White House actually tell us to not believe what we see and hear. #1984 #michaelradford #criterioncollection #georgeorwell #closetohome
