“How’re ya doin’ this fine day?” Savannah asked with a smile as the man approached the counter. She let out a laugh at his question and shook her head lightly. “Those would just dry ‘em out, but I could definitely warm ‘em up for you if that’s how you like ‘em,” she told him with a small smile. 

”Is that the only insult you have? It’s getting quite repetitive.” She had to laugh at his word choice again. She was over this conversation and she was over Ezra Baldwin. “In case your puny brain forgot you came over here demanding to know what I was doing here and If I was reporting back to your father. You may leave at any time, wouldn’t want that headache to get any worse.”

He was rather confident wasn’t he?  It seemed like he thought the sun comes up just to hear him crow. “Well I am certain your mama is a nice lady, so thank you. That is so kind.” He would not dare to say something rude about his mama, right? “Oh, I thought I saw someone I know, must’ve been a mistake. Silly me.” 

Mercy should’ve never really expected a stranger would ever be willing to help her, but asking never seemed to hurt anybody. Her cheeks began to burn with a light shade of red, a hand raising to cover the side of her face as the male addressed the other– an embarrassed laugh soon following afterwards. “ Definitely a great conversationalist, “ she lied to the other, nodding her head and turning her attention away. “ He ain’t my friend, just a guy goin’ through a lot apparently,” Mercy said softly, letting out a soft snicker. “Anyone ever tell you that you’re a horrible at bein’ a hero ? ”

Aubrey: I did not just spend a grand total of NINE months totally pregnant without once telling you about it. And then a raising a baby.

glancing behind him, pandora kept her stance. “it seems the only person waiting are the two of you,” she replied curtly. “and considering i’ve been sitting here this whole time, you can go around me or go down to them.” it took a lot for her to speak up but in her mind he deserved it. who did he think he was? telling her to go home. “try being considerate of others and you might have gotten further.” 

the guy spoke again and kim looked back at him. "that’s what a serial killer would say.“ she said as she bit her lips. “i know it was the last one.” kim answered as she pointed to a bus stop. “i’m kim, and thank you for the offer but that doesn’t make you less scary.”

 This was not the first time a man had connected her success in career to another man. If a women moved up the toddle pole her past work was never brought up, but who she had slept with to get that position. Rosalie had never slept with someone to further her career and she hadn’t slept with his father either. The only person who deserved credit for everything she had in life was her. She had also laughed at him calling her a slut. If a women likes sex and has multiple partners who cares as long as they are safe? Besides men do it all the time. “I think your father would disagree.” Her statement was work related, though it was vague on purpose. If he thought she had slept with his dad it wasn’t her job to correct him. Rosalie Roberts didn’t care one bit on what Ezra thought about her.
