UNDEREXPOSED . personal project . february 2016 +++

A small personal book project I made as a souvenir from my last summer’s trip to Japan. Combines common Western multi-section sewing and a traditional Japanese stab stitch binding.

Two parts. Two faces. Two bodies. Hanasu ( ~to speak) contains my attempts of haiku poetry reflecting mainly upon my impressions of the quiet country, on what it taught me and on how I was feeling at that time through till winter. Miru (~to see) holds prints of the photographs taken by my plastic disposable cameras while in Japan and therefore visually illustrates part one.

May the rest be underexposed. Like the crappy photos. Like me. Like Japan.
