β Look, if a pinch of abnormality makes me a better DJ, I don't care where it came from. β
Yo. You look new here. Haven't had this account for a while though, I'll give us some credit there. The name's Kris. Krystina Cross-Hound. The one and only.
(~~~) What-What are you saying? (~~~β) Who's that? Am I supposed to know...? (~~><!) ...oh jesus christ, I know where a Will... is? (?~~) Yeah 'cause where there's a Will there's a way, -π (γ-βγ»)-π outta that line of questioning.
(πππ) AYE AYE. FINE. I'm 18 years old, volunteering to litterpick, fix paddle-boats, the boating society gives me the cold shoulder but its experience working. I can read lips well enough. And I'm failing maths and physics, but aren't we all?
That's about it for... interesting, I'm just around. I'm just Kris. So we can yap if you want, not like volunteer work is the most enjoyable, its a lovely change of pace from, talking to myself. (!!!!!~) Siiiigh, and I'll tell you if I've seen anything cool.

γ β Hi! Frost here, or @frostbite-boy :D I'm your humble Mod here... I use They/Them pronouns -> I got really [insert Raptor Noises here /pos /aff] about Hatchetfield lore very very quickly so tah-dah! Introducing Krystina! β γ
<3 (Extra Info beneath the cut)
(Update 24.7.26: new tag for general ask responses)
(Update 28.7.26: Kris's drawing ref added! <3)
-- Oxidised Copper hair colour (Red/Ginger to Teal fade) in kind of a buzzcut in the front with obvious off-cuts and such. They don't have an obvious fringe.
[----ΓΓΓΓΓ----]
-- Hazel Eyes.
-- A scar on their right side of their face near their lips. They lost a baby tooth when that happened.
-- Switches between dull and bright colours in their clothes based on mood. With an emphasis on purples in their shirts, yellow and white in their bandanas. Does wear puffy-sleeved varsity jackets when they get the chance to wear them and finds them for a steal.
-- Loves their steel-toed boots.
[---ΓΓΓΓΓ---]
More Info about Kris:
-> Partially followed by Blinky. Ancestors on their father's side were... definitely something. "Give us influence, and we'll interest you with a grand show," promised nobody ever in their family since the 70s. Kris won't step into WatcherWorld willingly.
-> Does not care deeply for parental figures anymore. Will try and distance themselves from parental affections. Does mean they're socially isolated from their Aunt, where they have their own room housed with her. Does not do this to friends their age, if they had any.
Height: 5'7
Pronouns: They/She
-> Kris is self-training to become a DJ so they can get outta town. Under the persona of I.I Captain, they're trying to get good. Obviously, they're personally not gonna tell anyone that they want to leave town.
-> Kris is a known gossip at Hatchetfield High, for just knowing stuff that goes on, because of their circumstances** but they refuse to make it their entire reputation, or endulge in what power it might give them. They don't like having to keep track of things. They only tolerate the attention because it keeps people not only knowing them for their unfortunate house-moving situation.
**(they have a touch of the gift, they can look through walls when they unfocus and do the whole crossing eyes trick to see double. Reading lips helps them understand what they're seeing.)
ΓΓΓΓΓΓΓ
Rules for Asks/RP
-> Kris is open for all sorts of questions, and all sorts of scenarios. They might not be able to give great answers but answers nonetheless. <3 [I would prefer no suggestive content, nothing NSFW. Thank you for your consideration. :>] Please make sure to be clear if you want an OOC response to things.
-> Give me patience, please, when responding to asks and rp chains. I have a tendency to read and reread my responses to make sure its all clear and such. I'm in GMT timezone too, so I might be asleep or have just fallen asleep or I'm not able to be online. If it doesn't read right or anything needs clarifying, or I've left something on read you really want to continue: feel free to DM me, or leave a comment. :D
-> I go off Basic DNI on this account. I also block freely, I don't block a lot though.
-> Anyone is allowed to send asks and silly stuff and rp starters and magic!anons, yippee-yay! I'm excited to make accquaintances, have things going on! <3. γ I am so very socially anxious about starting things. Sorry if I don't post a lot! γ
-> Intro Post will be changing about as I figure things out, draw Kris' ref, etc. Will date when updates happen after the cut in small font. Anddd when I figure out the death counter and kill counter, those will... exist too. βͺγ½(Β΄β½ο½)/

-And here we go again. Kris with their headphones in and a plaster over their nose. Not hopping the fence, but very much making their presence known to the ghosts.-
As promised, the amazing Krystina returns with your flag and my record timeeee- How are you holding up, Greg?
[ @eye4eye-captain -- Hellooo! Waves at youuu. :D]
Greg looks up from his spot on the bleachers. There's a football on the seat next to him, a bit beat up and dirty. He seems to be using it as a sort of paperweight for the flag, which hasn't moved from its spot from last time.
Really, huh? He chuckles, not that he didn't think they'd keep to that silly idea of his, but the flag timing thing was a spontaneous (and not-very-serious) proposition.
-As Kris approaches Greg on the bleachers, they slowly clasp out of their bag, and wave proudly in the air, the elusive flag they had promised to grab for him.-
YOU KEPT THE OTHER ONE!?... Damn, you're welcome for that one. -Kris tries to put the flag across Greg's shoulders like a cape or a blanket, admiring with a nod to the other flag held down by a football.-
Wouldn't believe me. 22 flags in 5 hours. 4.4 flags per hour.
Well 5 hours including hiding them around town, then finding some new places I didn't know existed and adding them to one of my exploring lists, getting a pop-socket as my own trophy, walking by the lake for a bit and then walking home... -They pause.- I didn't stop the stopwatch for a lot. That time could be cut a lot shorter.
Wanted to be precise, yeah? More effort in silly bullshit than my actual classes, in my true fashion. -Kris strikes a dramatic pose, chuckling to themselves.-
What did you expect? That I'd throw away a gift? Pshh... He scoffs like a horse. I know I'm an asshole, but like.
Greg watches as Kris attempts to throw the flag over his shoulders, and simply grimaces as it goes through him. He grabs at the flag before it flies away.
I can... Store this one away with the rest of my gifts. That chill?
Greg holds his shoulder and sighs.
But he smiles after Kris' story. Mhm. And a damn good time too. Got to start from somewhere after all, get a good baseline.
Greg's face scrunches up, ...What's a... "pop socket"...?
Yeah yeah, I just forgot that would happen. Should know by now, honestly. -They laugh it off.-
You're cool don't worry, man. No disrespect doing what you want with it. Don't know baselines, I'm assuming its like.. a personal best---
-Kris blinks quickly at the comment about the pop socket.- Oh shit, nononno it doesn't hurt! Its this! It attaches to the back of my phone, I can use it to sit it upright without having to hold onto it.
-Holding their phone out, there's a white, circular disk that the teen demonstrates using, it clicks out into a more solid structure, and holds the smartphone in place on the seat next to Kris.- It has a little fish on it. :>
I'm guessing we have different definitions of popping sockets.
Yeah, 'cuz the last time I popped a socket I just 'popped' it back into place. He gestures with his arm and sort of mimics the motion of re-locating a dislocated shoulder.
Smart stuff, though. Thing looks kinda flimsy, Greg points to the smartphone, How the hell do you keep that thing intact?
OoOUGH. YEP. Different definitions. -Kris winces, almost imagining the sensation.-
Oh yeah, it can be. Thick phone case over the screen and the back of the phone, screen protector, I don't throw it or stick it on a pole, people do that a lot. And they don't have as much protecting the screen. -Kris puts their head in their hands, groaning.-
Like gang please, you drop it like that and I will flinch thinking you broke it. Its not fun.
Too gnarly for you? Greg can't hold back a mischievous smile, Oh, I've got worse. Almost got a concussion at least three times.
He gently raps his knuckles against the side of his skull, But I never back down. And I drank a lot of milk for these bones.
Speaking of concussions, though, He turns a little more towards Kris, more engaged in the conversation. He seems very thoroughly engaged in this ridiculous topic. I think if your phone breaks when you throw it, that's a major downgrade. Like come on.
And you make me look like I need to put in a box labelled 'fragile'. -Kris chuckles. Their nose has a yellow duckie-themed plaster over the bridge of it. Their left nostril is still a bit red.-
Jesus, don't I know that fact. Born to own the wrong era of phones. They used to be bulky as hell, but they didn't break like. Repairing probably wasn't a pain in the ass either. I don't throw mine. I don't get people wanting to break my phone either.
The glorious Goldilocks zone of student hierarchy, not a target, not the bully.
I don't wanna sound old but, man. Why get rid of a good thing? And it gets Steve upset... Makes me wanna beat up a tech company, give me a crowbar and a dream.
Greg takes a sharp exhale. He looks up at Kris and, now noticing the remnants of a nosebleed, frowns.
So if you don't get your shit rocked often, what's the nosebleed?
Greg squints at the photo, then looks back up with a smirk, Jeez. Don't know your own strength in your sleep, huh?
Sleep-punching isn't uncommon, though. Greg stares up at the sky, Think one time I was staying up late, and I almost got strangled by one of my buds having a nightmare.
Classic "getting chased by a monster" one, but apparently he was lucid enough to turn around and start choking the damn thing.
Brave as hell even in his dreams...
He looks back up at Kris, remembering they're even there, and shies away, But that's enough about me.
-Kris puts their phone away, giving a short 'Heh' at their own captioning skills.-
Nightmares do the damneded things to people. Freaks people out like crazy. I should know, not recently like but I know... -And that somehow made them ponder hard.-
Do you even need to sleep as a ghost? How does that feel?
I've... tried it once, just needed to close my eyes.
Greg grips the bottom edges of his jacket, running his nail along the fabric. He shudders at the thought, remembering what sleep felt like.
Numb. Felt numb-er than usual. You ever sleep on your arm wrong? Get pins and needles? That, but through your whole body.
Greg hugs himself, his breathing unsteady for a moment. The thought of feeling nothing terrifies him to no end. But no, he can't break here. That's stupid. Wait until nobody's watching, idiot. He takes a deep breath, but he's lost eye-contact.
I don't get the 'feeling' of needing to sleep though, but I can't tell if that's a ghost thing, or if my insomniac ass is messing with me again. Greg rubs his eyes - though they are perpetually dry.
I mean, could be both..? Ghost thing and insomnia. A wild fucking cocktail but that's you.
-Kris looks over, before shifting to glance away.-
Pins and Needles all over my body would make me want to throw myself into the Lake.
Sleep's such a stupid-ass ritual we all gotta do. And the land of dreams doesn't believe in bones apparently, we all gotta feel like air. You don't got the feeling of bones like I do to lose in comparison, I can only imagine how surreal that feels.
Brain being like 'you are now weightless as you fall asleep', you're already there! What else do you have to lose to rest??? -Kris gestures picking up a phone to their ear with their hand.- I gotta call up sleep sometimes like 'Aye, can we speedrun this- I need you but I hate you.'
-And here we go again. Kris with their headphones in and a plaster over their nose. Not hopping the fence, but very much making their presence known to the ghosts.-

Hey does anyone else have weird stuff happen in their sleep? I think I might have wacked myself in the face during mine, cuz my nose looks like it got its weight full rocked.
-Cue Kris 2-3 minutes beforehand, wiping their eyes of sleep, and waltzing into the bathroom. Looking into the mirror, their glance had to do a double-take. Their view of what was there ending with a cut-off 'what the fu-' -
Just imagining the question of 'gang did I shadow box my bed..????' -They shrug.- And I can't think of any other suggestions to what happened sooo. We will go with shadow-boxing my mattress, and I'm going to get on with the day and the daylight. γ½(ο½₯βο½₯γ½)
-Kris is walking around, noting things down on their phone, making notes of anything that might have affected their time, their FPH, whatever they called it.-
Huh. Okay, lookin' back, that had a bit of a harsh start, that's on me though, I did jump a fence, I had to ask him to help me, yeah that was embarrassing, but he was gnarly. He asked for my advice. That's good, right?
-The stopwatch is still going as they're walking alone. Wanted to give their flags per hour number some accuracy so they really counted anything they could. Variables, or whatever the terms were.-
Greg, he was cool when I left. Or I hope he was cool.
-For their efforts: a new pop-socket. Had an interesting fish design on it.-
-About 20-22 flags hidden, some in groups. Few flags left in their bag, but a good chunk hidden and given out.-
-There were some places they saw on their travels, newer than they remember. Didn't go in, but they keep a note to self to go look into them. Not a clue when though.-
-Least they weren't getting distressed texts. The calculations could wait until they had paper in front of them at home.-

-You can almost guess who's trying to jump a fence to, at least attempt to tie a regular ol' rainbow flag onto the end of the bleachers...-
-Really putting the 'pride' into 'pro at getting onto football field.' It's the doofus themselves.-
@eye4eye-captain
γHelloooo! I thought Steve deserved something less carnage- γ½(ο½₯βο½₯γ½)γ
Greg looks up from his clouded thoughts, noticing the stranger and tilting his head in curiosity. Noticing what they're doing, he jolts up with a mix of fear and anger, and a defensiveness for the field.
What are you doing on our- the field?
...Are you trying to pull something? Because that's not gonna happen.
He gestures to the flag, You're vandalizing. That's illegal.
....Do you not want a pride flag? -Kris stops dead in their pursuit to look at Greg.- Cuz like I can just give it to you, if you want.
Its just to spread student acceptance... They don't have to pay for a flag if there's one here, and they can just.. take it down if they don't like it. I'm using bluetack, its not rocket science.
I'd calll it a surprise for my classmates... ye dingus... -They say that playfully. They do stop though, wrapping the flag around them like a cape, to go over to Greg instead, jumping up onto the bleachers.-
Can wait though. Sooo. These your stomping grounds?
-Their bag is full of all different colours and sizes of pride flags, and their phone.-
Greg grumbles as he contemplates the question. ...No, he supposed it wasn't going to ruin anything. And he liked the look of it. He doesn't admit either of those thoughts out loud.
And anything, or anyone, taking him out of his negative stewing was probably a good thing. Something Leighton would say, probably.
-Kris gets a pack of bluetack out their jacket pockets. Huh. Maybe they should find a place where it won't get so.. easily taken down.-
-They go behind the bleachers, putting the bluetack onto an empty space and gesturing for the flag. In their eyes, its not any better than people carving initials onto the wood and metal work, but its for a good cause.-
Aye, so it means you don't feel as much, if any, romantic or sexual attraction to anyone. Like you can still commit to intimate things but its not romance, you get me?
I still love my friends, I still get like... You know a crush but its like 'I just think we'd get along and be great friends', I get that A LOT.
I dunno though, there a spectrum around it. There's layers to it. Beats me if I know what I'm like. I have too much maths to ask myself 'to like romance or to not like romance.'
I-I just thought it was a cool fact. They're-They're doing fine, if that's anything.
I'm just like this, usually, or I think I would have had my head punched in by now.--
I can leave you be, if you're not a fan, just wanted to put a flag up.
-Kris shuffles a bit further away than they were before, grabbing a heart-shaped lollypop from another pocket of their jacket, enjoying the sunshine for a bit.-
-They pull the right flag right out the bag by the little pole it was attached to. It was one of the bigger ones with a stick attached to them, not cape-level big but it was big.-
-Scooting back over awkwardly, they hand the flag to Greg.-
Life is life, yeah, you don't have to talk about all that lot on your mind to me. Do hope you find some joy in that though. -Nodding towards the flag they gave him. They had shoved their aroace one from earlier back in their bag.-
OI, jesus christ man!- -Kris says abruptly at him kicking the bleachers-
-They take a deep inhale, cooling their head, not realising their own... temper there.-
Sorry, that's my bad there. -Kris wipes at their face thinking about a good answer, and hopefully having one, speaks up over the silence.-
Nah, but like if nothing told you what this answer would do to you, you ain't a dumbass to ask. Not like the warning of 'its bad' stops desperate desires.
So you saw something you shouldn't have. Oh no! I'm sorry you had to! You didn't know that was going to be what you had to see when you walked in to ask.
Its kind of like 'Way-oh, you wanted to know about a role model you like, well turns out they were a secret crazy maniac the whole time!' It would hurt like a bitch, you'd regret getting an answer, because you desperately hoped it would be a SANE answer.
...Might be a bad example though.
-Kris slowly puts their lollypop back into their mouth.-
Greg rests his forehead on his hands, I guess the cat's out of the bag, huh...
He sighs, I... Had a chat with someone who said they could show me what happened that night. That it was more than lightning that killed us, that something... More was behind it.
Now I'm regretting even asking... And I still don't know the whole truth! Greg throws out his hands in frustration.
He eventually settles after his initial outburst, resting his head on his hands.
...Greg chuckles at Kris' last comment, I flipped 'em the bird before I left, does that count?
Counts for me, Greg. Hell yeah. -They smile, even briefly, a show of support.-
...
I mean getting pieces of the puzzle, should be a better spot than square one, I guess? I can relate to the 'something more', currently wanting to but can't go scream in the lake. I just dyed my damn hair.
-Kris twirls the finished lollypop stick between their fingers- fuuuck, situations like these make me wish I was a stoner.
I won't, yeah, but again, sane answers aren't coming apparently. -They chuckle to themselves.-
I'm so numb it's probably pretty close to being stoned. He shrugs. Stay safe if you do get into it, 'kay?
A light, breathy laugh escapes him.
...It's something to add to my notes, at least. No idea how I'll write it down, it was... Indescribable. Like trying to look at the sun.
...
And you can just scream here, if you want. Field's big enough that nobody will mind.
Greg leans on his hand, We used to see how far we could throw our voices across the field, until our throats were sore. I think... Man who won...? Was it Henry... Greg's voice trails off.
I will, I will. I'm not stupid. -Kris very much side-eyes themselves with that comment.-
...Okay not stupid all the time.
I do prefer to keep my voice right now. I stick to my ways. Might try it if I get a chance some other day, same with apple-bobbing apparently.
-Kris stretches their arms and stands up to stretch their legs.- Well, a note is a note, you could just describe it as staring into the sun if that helps, filling it where your vision was spared. If its important you'd figure it out, how to write it down and all.
And I'll come back with a flag you can use like a cape, and a nice FPH number, or my flags per hour. Take that my tightrope math grade. -Kris punches the air briefly.-
Won't get all the stops, ain't no way. Not a cross-country trackstar yet, or I think I'd be less on my toes at school.
Maybe my failing physics would actually have a reason other than 'fuck, I'm zoning out'.
-Kris looks at the gate. It was open.-
-Shit. Kris looks away quickly.-
And I won't climb the fence if I don't have to, I promise. I can only imagine how I looked....
Aye, and don't beat yourself up, yeah? That puzzle of yours don't need to be solved alone-- ookay byeee Greg!-
-Kris gives Greg a little peace sign gesture on the way out, pulling their phone out and starting a stopwatch as they head out the gate, shoving their closed bag across their shoulder-
-Its going to be a looong evening. And a lot of steps.-
-You can almost guess who's trying to jump a fence to, at least attempt to tie a regular ol' rainbow flag onto the end of the bleachers...-

-They chuckle to themselves.-
-You can almost guess who's trying to jump a fence to, at least attempt to tie a regular ol' rainbow flag onto the end of the bleachers...-
-Really putting the 'pride' into 'pro at getting onto football field.' It's the doofus themselves.-
