oh, naga help this poor man. all it took was someone to simply open their mouth & he’s being assumed as betrothed to another. ( to robin, no less ) chrom is a man of steel & backbone; as embarrassing as this blunder was, it will take more than mere hearsay to shake this man.

of course this would happen─it seemed everyone had eyes and ears everywhere, and any shenanigan chrom has gotten himself wrapped up in would have any of the shepherds commenting. leave it to robin’s maddening banter to give way for more madness.

          “ i’m getting a lot of mixed signals from      you, robin. try not to work yourself too hard─     we need you here with us.

          best friend! best friend was looking for her! excitement bubbles       in her chest as she bounces her merry way to chrom’s side,      instinctively slipping her arm through his to place her hand upon      his forearm.

                    “ were you? i was attending to peanut just                     outside of camp. her pups have gotten big! “

ah, now there’s one of his favourite (not that he would dare openly say as such) tacticians. she brings herself near & melts against him like she but belongs at his side.at the corners of his lips does a smile twiddle; chrom is, as he ever is, genuinely pleased to be once more in wren’s company.

          “ i bet they have! the way you’ve been      taking care of them, i’m surprised they      haven’t actually wandered into camp looking      for you or food. “
