Taiwan High Speed Rail, also known as THSR or simply HSR, is high speed rail network in Taiwan. HSR runs at a maximum speed of 280-300 Km/h. It is operated by Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation, an private entity. HSR runs between Xinzuoying station in Kaohsiung (in south) to Nangang station in Taipei (in north) along the western coast of Taiwan. HSR takes less than 2 hours from Kaohsiung to Taipei. How to book the tickets: You can book HSR tickets online (on the official website of HSR), in convenience stores like 7-11 or FamilyMart or in HSR station itself. You can avail up to 35% discount on tickets if you book online 28 days before your travel date.

IP136: Twin hearts stone weir, Cimei island, Penghu. This stone weir is one of the 558 stone weirs in Penghu and only one on Cimei island. It forms the shape of two hearts and is quite famous among tourists. It has been voted No. 1 tourist spot in Penghu consecutively. The air flow here was too strong that it was difficult to hold on your feet. It's beautiful spot and worth a visit. How to get there: The Cimei tourist shuttle bus has it's first stop here. IP118: Yuwengdao lighthouse, Xiyu township, Penghu, Taiwan. The lighthouse was built in 1778 as Xiyu station during Guangxu emperor reign of Taiwan, as a stone tower. The current lighthouse was built in 1875 and painted in 1915. It was opened to public in 1992. It stands 11 meters high bulit of round cast iron and white paint. It closes on Mondays, so plan your visit accordingly.
