The Pokédex: two numbskulls edition

Absolutely do not attempt to eat a Poison-Type egg, even if it’s a secondary typing on the Pokemon. It’s never worth the risk, since there are so many types of poisons, including paralytics, and some which could be classified as narcotics, and those can have all sorts of effects on bodies, and nobody’s sure in what quantities they can cause harm.

As for the tastiest egg type, that’s entirely up to your tastes, but Flying-Type is normally a safe bet.

Psychic-type Pokemon Eggs generally aren’t eaten much. The main reason for this is due to the fact that a lot of Psychic-type Pokemon display thought patterns similar to humans, so that puts a lot of people off from either farming the unfertilized eggs, or eating them in general.

However, if you’re willing to go past that, Psychic-type Eggs taste mostly based around their secondary type. Pure Psychic-type Pokemon eggs are kind of bland, but there’s an undertone that can’t really be replicated-- whether you enjoy it or not is a matter of taste.

A single father Flareon? Normally the Eevee line tend to stick in groups, so I guess his paternal protection instinct set in when he saw the egg, and he’s gonna try raising it like his own child. Make sure that you provide for whatever’s inside the egg, too, since some Pokemon can be finicky about what they want.

#333 - Swablu, the Cotton Bird Pokemon

Swablu are very calm Pokemon, and fly around in flocks of around fifteen. Single Swablu may split away from the flock to do their own thing, and a different Swablu will join the flock instead. They’re able to sense emotions in humans and other Pokemon, and will often join a Pokemon that is sad, or sit upon the head of a human who is experiencing turmoil. They will remain here until removed or the sad Pokemon or human is no longer sad. When approaching evolution, they tend against sitting and sleeping on a human’s head and instead go to perch on their shoulder and wrap their cloud-wings around them.

#334 - Altaria, the Humming Pokemon

Upon evolving, Altaria find their voice to be much more melodious. Wild Altaria will soar the skies singing symphonies, sometimes alone but others with their former Swablu flock. A trainer’s Altaria may use this ability in battle, but a companion is more likely to go against battle, and instead use their soothing voice to help their owner. This Pokemon is often given as a Swablu to trainers who suffer from insomnia, anxiety, and/or depression, as their voice can lull people to sleep, and their wings offer a soft and safe solace from the world. Some Altaria have purposely changed their movesets, or learned moves from other Pokemon to assist their trainer in dealing with mental health problems.

I don’t. I’m also not technically cleared to give away Starter Pokemon yet, so even if I did, I couldn’t legally give one away. You’d do better asking Professor Rowan for one, I’m sure he has a few to spare.

On the topic of eggs tasting bad, the egg types you want to be avoiding are as such:

Ghost, Dark, Fairy, Steel, Electric.

I also suggest avoiding Dragon Type eggs as they’re often not worth the risk. Dragon Type Pokemon are fiercely protective of even unfertilized eggs.

The reason for avoiding these other eggs is because Ghost eggs have little to no nutritional value, Dark eggs go rotten very easily, Fairy eggs are honestly unhealthily sweet, Steel eggs are very hard to get into and aren’t really worth the energy to get into, and Electric eggs will give you shocks.

As you can guess, particular eggs have particular tastes. Fire Type eggs tend to be slightly spicy, but not wholly unpleasant. Water eggs are bland and don’t really taste like anything, so can be used as a base, but I wouldn’t bother.

Another thing to note, Grass Type egg taste can be influenced by what the Grass Type is fed. If you were to feed it Mago berries, the egg would be slightly sweet, and this follows through for all the types of berries.

And for your own wellbeing, don’t go for the eggs of classified “Humanoid” Pokemon. It’s pretty weird to think about.
