New Blog is up and running

It was a great night and I thoroughly enjoyed interacting with a variety of people who shared my passion for art.

These black and white film photographs are from my very first exhibition, whilst these images are of poor quality due to scanning, the original images were immaculately presented on fibre based paper. The whole atmosphere of the image was quite beautiful, rich and colour wise very deep. I was incredibly happy with the studio based photos and am in the process of reconceptualising this project for an honours degree

This is an unedited digital image. Im just experimenting with my digital camera at the moment as I've not used digital a lot outside of the studio.

As usual everything is unedited and fresh from the shoot.

Ive been real busy with university essays so I haven't been photographing a lot recently but here are some more random shots of my experimental work

Holga 120mm kodak colour film

The emulsion transfers on paper

A while back as a part of my experimental tendencies I started layering my polaroid emulsion transfers onto patterned paper. Naturally this has flowed onto my current project, this time I decided to print some of my black and white holga images onto tissue paper. Despite my initial scepticism my printer remains active after printing a variety of these over the last few weeks.

These are some double exposed 120mm colour film photos shot on my Holga. They are purely experimental and I aimed to capture a single nanosecond moment that could never be recreated.

Here's a selection of film that I use. The Neopan is a 35mm black and white film that I use for most of my day to day photography, however, I've also used it in the studio with lights etc and it has worked well. This film goes through a variety of my 35mm cameras and most recently I ran a role through my holga. The results weren't exactly how I had hoped but a reshoot is a definite in the near future. The kodak film is a colour film and I have only shot one these rolls to date, unfortunately I'm also still waiting to see the results. I used it in my holga but I'm also going to run a film through my box brownie flash and my Agfa clack camera. Polaroid film is one of my all time favourites. This impossible project film is colour 680 which I use in my one step 600 camera. Another film I have used recently is fujifilm 100acros 120mm which I was really impressed with. As a black and white film that I had never used my results are evident in my beach boy portrait.

I used fujifilm neopan 100 acros in my Holga camera with a tripod. I was a little bit worried at first about lighting as it was a very sunny/glary day, however, it seemed to work well and I’m quite pleased with the end results.
