Books I read

This is what happens when hard sciences people go bonkers, and that's probably what I will do too. This guy made a whole travel guide to Arda from the Firstt Age to the Fourth with extremely detailed descriptions. Insane behaviour, I love him so much. Also he wrote a book about Elvish calligraphy and you can have him write your name in Elvish at medieval fairs. I met him a couple of times he's a cool guy.

Rotte del mare - Pino Pace, illustrated by Allegra Agliardi

Not the kind of book I normally read. Loved it

A reportage to better understand the dynamics of the Palestinian genocide, what led to it, and how the surrounding Arab countries are involved in it. The author speaks to the people that live it, on all sides, with both active and marginalised roles in it. Not an easy read, but a useful one

I randomly picked this up at the library because I like the author's other books. Cute fairytale-like story with pretty illustrations

Another brilliant work by Zerocalcare, mixing social commentary, personal reflections and showing other perspectives on the Ilaria Salis and Maja T. cases outside of sensationalis journalism and politics

I didn't like it as much as the mists of Avalon, but still it was an interesting read

Cute, but cozy fantasy in not my favourite to read

The illustrations are amazing, I loved the almost monochromatic watercolours the artist made

The concept was nice but the execution wasn't the best. I still quite enjoyed it even though some parts were truly not believable, like a bishop randomly processing an inquisitor like that. Also the fact that the characters used so many bestemmie casually while also being Christians felt totally wrong and foreigners should try a bit harder to understand that those are not just some casual curse words

Read it in like half an hour, the pages are mostly illustrations (pretty) and only a few lines of words. But it was still cool to read stories about this civilisation

Hildegard and Volmar are so dear to me
