OMG!! YAY!!!!

I did hill repeats today! The hill wasn't as steep as I wanted, but it was still a hill. Proud of me! I'll have to scout out a different hill for next hill repeat day.

At least Garmin said my "run" was productive.

Today was not the day I wanted. It was hot and humid. I had GI issues and nausea the whole day. I've learned my threshold for temps for running. Maybe no more July races. Napped for 2 hours after I got home and felt pretty miserable the rest of the afternoon. Pretty sure I had heat exhaustion. Still feeling fatigued and nauseous, but better than a few hours ago.

Still one of my favorite races!

Tomorrow is race day!!! Gonna be a warm one, but it's trails and the spillway! So much fun!

Hot temps + rain + small breeze = A fucking fantastic run!!!!

Best run I've had in a while. Mood boosted!!!

So not a fan of this weather. Saturday, for race day, may be miserable. At least there's the spillway!!!

Monday - 2 miles easy

Tuesday - 3 miles easy

Wednesday - 2 miles easy

Thursday - 1 mile recovery

Friday - 1 mile easy

Saturday - Fifth Season 5k - 3.12 miles

Sunday - 1 mile recovery

My only goal was to keep moving. I didn't push myself too hard the first mile because people. But if I would have, I might have gotten a PR. Glad it rained earlier and it was cloudy. Sadly, all the bomb pops were melted. 😥

Race day! Had some storms this morning. It's cool, but humid. I'll take it though!

I always feel like an imposter at road races.... with everyone warming up. 🤣

Tomorrow is race day! It's just a 5k, but it's going to be gross and humid out....like every 4th of July. Monkey is not running with me, so I'll get done sooner this year. Should be a fun race, though.

It took a week, but Goose figured out his new toy!

I really don't want to run on the treadmill. If I take water and take it slow, I should be fine. It's only 2 miles.

Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI by David Grann - audiobook - 4 Stars

I had a hard time getting through this book. Not because I didn't like it. Because of the heavy subject matter. I’ve known how shitty the US Government was/is towards Native Americans, but this brings it into perspective. I had to read this in small doses, but it was really eye-opening and informative. A definite must read because they don't teach this in school.
