Today was a day that started with a lot of feelings about femme that I'm still unpacking, but then moved on to tea, photography, and shopping at lush with two of the all-around best women it's my privilege to know. Also, the second photo here is evidence that E. and the pictures she takes are magic -- I don't think I look like that, but it's nice to see anyways.

More lipstick, fewer tshirts
I'm trying out a ban on the crew-neck $10 tshirts that are a (the only?) mainstay of my day to day wardrobe. Tunics and makeup and more car selfies because where the hell else do I go that has natural light?
So this is a thing
Some months ago, a friend and I decided that we were going to do a thing called femmebruary -- daily expressions of feminine identity for the whole month. For me, that's pretty far from normal. The first draft of this post involved some of the reasons why, but I am garbage at talking to an unknown audience (even though I'm fairly certain nobody is going to read this but me), so that got scrapped. Suffice it to say that for various reasons, while femme is a big part of how I think of myself, it's a small part of how I show myself to the world. For this month, though, I'm doing this thing with feminine expression and this tumblr where I post selfies and other pictures that are of me instead a scared-looking cat (even though having strangers looking at me is something that terrifies me beyond reason). So yeah, happy femmebruary everybody. Have some pictures of my weird-looking face.
