a friend who's mom owns a home with a pool and HORSES in the county was hosting his birthday there it was awesome

I love playing in the pool. it always makes me feel like a kid when i'm at a pool party. I want so badly to do swimming races and handstand contests and rough housing but so many of my friends are adults who want to float on floaters and drink beer. i mean of course i had a few beers and a couple veggies dogs. but i also wanted to play. mo took this picture of me playing in the pool by myself lol

went Ren's new studios opening flash world cup event. i saw a dog on the way who was trying to swim in a fountain and i made friends with the owner and told her if she came to my work i'd give her a discount on teaching her dog to swim in a pool

I guess yeah like 75% of my diet is bagged and boxed veggies and fruits that i never wash because it always says pre washed. and Lucy had been out all week with her dad and friend from out of town so she didn't eat any of the veggies in the house i ate them all. i was throwing up and pooping and it sucked. but i started feeling better on Saturday

on a run yesterday i saw this guy in a speedo on a podium with drawing supplies so i stopped and drew him. I haven't figure drawn in a long time. two other people both men had stopped and been talking to him while i drew and i only talked a bit. the more he spoke the more i realized this act was self serving.

At first I really liked this idea because it is kind of like those outdoor public gym machines and bars you find in some parks. completely free public access to something, in this case art making and drawing. I'm out of school and don't have time or money to spend on figure drawing sessions, i didn't even want to keep these drawings i just like figure drawing. but he said he'd only put the art supplies out so that it could lawfully have artistic intent and that he had been arrested on the 4th of july for doing this completely naked. To the other people stopping he seemed to talk about himself in some sort of mythology and enjoyed when they gave that back to him.

he seemed appreciative but confused by me, as if he didn't really expect anyone to take the drawing supplies seriously, and maybe because i was viewing him as literally an object to depict and not anything else. i looked at his instagram later and i was right, it was all "art" in a performance way but to me at least his work didn't show any affection for the concept of physical form and it all had exhibitionist undertones. Even though I didn't like this guys personal work i hope i see him again. it was nice to stop my run to draw
