Greeter: calypsoism
calypsoism :
“ Good afternoon, Madame Mayor.” She called out when she entered the shop. “ Ah yes, I do. Just one moment.” Calypso went to the back room before returning with the garment bag that contained her order.
“ I do hope it meets your requirements. It’s not often that you get re-sworn into office.” She said with a smile, holding it out to Regina to see it met her standards.
“Good afternoon,” she offered dully. Whether or not it would be a good afternoon for either of them remained to be seen. Once she got a look at the gown and tried it on. Accepting the garment bag she slipped into the changing room and pulled it on.
She hummed thoughtfully as she gave the dress a once over in the mirror. “Only every time I get re-elected,” she offered as she came out. “Everything’s fitting right but I’m still not certain on the bottom or the bodice.”

Awkward Introduction
Henry Mills was usually a very good little boy, he’d been that way since he was born. The day that his mother had wanted to head into work a little early to welcome the newest cellist to the Olde Towne Chamber Group had been one of the rare occasions he’d put up a fuss about going to daycare. He’d insisted that at four, he was old enough to stay home alone and look after himself. In the end, he only agreed to go to daycare because his mother had given him the option of Athens of America Daycare or Grandmother Cora’s house. Not being any fonder of his grandmother than his mama was, he had decided on daycare, but he’d still managed to make his mama arrive at work too late to welcome the new arrival to the group.
Regina Mills felt bad of course, but only a little. The honour of playing in Symphony Hall--acoustically, among the top three concert halls in the world, considered the finest in the United States, and home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Symphony Orchestra Chamber Group--in combination with the honour of playing for the Olde Towne Chamber Group was more than enough for the cellist. Emma Swan wouldn’t be expecting to meet the President of the board that presided over the Olde Towne Chamber Group, the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Boston Symphony Orchestra Chamber Group on top of everything else.
The brunette had headed straight to her meeting at the Hall, her best friend and interpreter Ruby Lucas by her side. The meeting got off to a decidedly rocky start as she’d expected, they’d been arguing over the same issues for a few days now and she was fed up. Her way was the right way and she was going to have it. “Tell this idiot to either do as he’s told or to start looking for another job,” she signed aggressively to Ruby. She watched the other brunette’s lips making sure she didn’t drop out the term ‘idiot’ as she delivered the message to the man. She levelled the man with a clear death glare as Ruby spoke aloud to the ‘idiot.’
The argument continued on like this for a few more minutes until the man finally got on Regina’s last nerve and she finally snapped at him with her own voice and her eyes turned darker than they had been before. That had been enough to get her point across. Nodding the man fled her sight, but not first before dropping a rude remark once his back was turned. Just because she couldn’t see it didn’t mean Ruby couldn’t hear it and relay it, which she did. Regina growled rolling her eye and in quick stabbing motions told Ruby exactly what she thought of the retreating idiot.
Regina and Ruby moved around the Hall during the rehearsal wrapping up their business and heading out before rehearsal ended. The brunette didn’t find herself in the presence of the performers again until three nights later when the Olde Towne Chamber Group was doing their first performance of the season. It was a fundraising benefit concert for a local Arts High School. Some of the students in the audience probably had their own aspirations about playing on that stage someday, for the others, it was a fun party, and others still had been forced to come by their parents.
For Regina, it was an opportunity to judge the group and it’s members, to look for flaws or problems and fix them. Throughout the performances she and Ruby would sign to each other about anything they noticed making sure the other saw it too and in Ruby’s case, checking that it was something her employer and best friend would find note worthy. She checked out during Emma Swan’s solo, she was new and Regina was expecting her first performance with the group would have her nervous and as such it was unfair to judge. She barely watched instead choosing to talk (in sign) to Ruby excitedly about the cutest thing her godson/Regina’s son, had done earlier that day.
Two pieces later and the performers were finished for the night, they as well as Regina and Ruby were free to stay and mingle or to head home. Regina wanted to head home to Henry, but Ruby insisted on one drink and sighing the brunette had given in. Ruby headed off to the bar and Regina smoothed down her dress’ skirt before removing her phone from her clutch and texting the sitter to check on her son.
Her attention on her phone, she didn’t notice someone had approached and attempted to speak to her until she felt a soft touch on her hand. She slipped the phone away and looked up to see the new cellist before her. As Ruby was waiting for drinks at the bar, she’d have to communicate on her own and it pained her to do so, she hated speaking with her voice. Perhaps hate was too strong, but she strongly disliked it. Using two fingers, Regina moved them in a circle around her mouth focusing her eyes on the blonde’s lips to let her know that she could read lips.

Christmas With The Clones
anythingtoprotectthem:
“You’re right Monkey! Now I don’t have to call ya a leopard anymore.” She teased before kissing the top of her head and smiling at Regina. She really meant it. “ Hell, if ya want, we can always invite Alison, bet she still knows about babies and shit.” Sarah points out with a teasing smile before giving her a gentle nod and a smaller, real smile.
“ Cool. I can always borrow S’s car if you can’t fly and we can meet in the middle or something.” The punk points out, not wanting to do anything that would hurt the bay. Her hand waved away Regina’s words. “ Oi, course we did. Ya part of the Clone Club now.” She might not be an original member but having a clone baby along with running from Dyad, Sarah and her sisters felt like Regina was one of them.
Sarah leaned over and gave Kira one arm hug and kissed the top of her head before whispering good job. “ S made me one out of one of her old shawls and it was super help with Monkey here. Figured you might find one useful when you have to go out with the little tyke.” She points out, having had to go out shopping a few times with Kira like that.
“I’ll save the leopard hat for when Cal’s around,” Kira promised with a grin before lightly nudging Sarah to take the tag off of her new hat so that she could put it on. Regina had removed the prices, but left the tags just in case someone didn’t like their gift. “That sounds fun, and I can take you two for lunch,” she added with a smile. She’d have to search for a place that had both healthy food, and the greasier style of food she imagined Sarah and probably even Alison preferred.
“I think I’m able to fly a little longer, and Abel has to come with me anyway so even if we end up having to drive, we can switch it up so each of us can sleep,” she offered. It was better to do their shopping trip in the Toronto and Scarborough area that Sarah and Alison were familiar with rather than in a city neither of them knew. “That will take a while to get used to,” Regina replied with a small smile. She’d once worked for Dyad, admittedly only for her own interests, and in many ways she blocked their efforts from the inside as much as she could. Still, Dyad had done some pretty awful things to the Leda clones, and she was sure that one or more of the clones secretly resented her.
“Thanks mommy,” Kira replied as she worked on removing one of her other presents from it’s packaging now that she had the monkey hat on. Regina was pretty sure that the Moby wrap was going to be put to use on more than just the occasions that she needed to go out. It seemed to grow with the baby and allow different positions for the baby. “I imagine I’ll use it a lot at home too, seems great for keeping the baby snuggled up and warm,” she agreed.
4 found Gatsby
“You caught me, but I confess I did a terrible job of hiding myself.” She teases a little as she smiles at Regina. The brunette nods and puts them away. “ You’re welcome, dear.” Jay brings her own hand up to shake Regina’s, giving a small ah at the name.
“Ah, that’s how your parents gotten an invitation. I must confess I was surprised to hear that your family would be in my neck of the woods.” She pointed out before motioning to one of the waiters. “ Can I get you a drink?”
“Indeed,” the petite brunette agreed with a small smile. Well...she’d managed to do a good job hiding from Regina’s mother Cora, so that was a small miracle if truth be told. “Although you’ve managed to evade my mother,” she offered wringing her hands lightly. Thus far she’d managed the same aside for a short time after their arrival. She was truly thankful for the bit of freedom.
“My parents are here on business, a merger, buy out...something along that line. I’m only here to keep daddy company whilst spending his money,” Regina offered honestly. She was only ever brought along to stand still, look pretty. “I don’t really drink, but thank you,” she replied before being distracted by another waiter walking by with flutes of a bubbly liquid, it didn’t look like her hard cider, or like white wine. “What’s that?” she inquired motioning toward the waiter’s tray that could just barely be seen above the crowd he’d walked into.

4 found the Zombie
“Don’t!” She cries out and moves to grab it. “ It’s like ghost pepper hot sauced mixed with death sauce and rubbed in jalapeno and garlic rub.” Liv was really hoping that the brunette would leave it alone. “ At least that’s what Cosima told me.” The zombie remembered hearing about how the brunette did something to some brownies a few months ago.
Regina inwardly smirked. She knew it, there was something wrong with the food. “Well that sounds lovely,” she replied until she heard mention of Cosima. The brunette promptly dropped the shrimp in her hand into the trash and emptied the rest of the plate into the bin too before going to wash her hands. “I’m really not in the mood to fire anyone today. In future, don’t eat or drink anything Ms. Niehaus gives you. Her pot brownies got a lab tech and an intern fired last month,” Regina explained. The only thing that had saved Cosima was her medical marijuana card.
2 found the Monitor
“ Look, I swear, I didn’t tell anyone alright?” The only place she had anything was in the apartment she was renting, a wall of information, trying to connect the dots. She shifted her weight, feeling a little confused. “ Then why are you her-” Emi stopped talking. It took her a few moments to find the words that she was looking for. Taking a breath, she looked at Regina.
“ Look, Miss….” The musician realized she didn’t know what her name was. “ Are you saying that you’re hiring me to monitor Cosima again?”
“Again, I’m not interested about that one way or another,” the brunette repeated feeling incredibly annoyed. Repeating herself, wasting time, she hated both activities. She wanted to finish up here go get some dinner and head back to her hotel room. “Ms. Mills, and I’m saying Dyad wishes to hire you again in that capacity, yes.”

4 found the Code-Breaker
“Yep… mom wanted a lot of kids. Verdi’s the baby though, even if she denies it.” Raz pointed out before speaking. “ Although, Blair says that she never got over losing us or thinking she lost us, so she never said anything. Said that Verdi never liked to talk about her problems, pretend they never existed. Plus, she said once the Queen of Hearts was gone, Verdi didn’t wanna hurt someone by bringing up the Queen’s past. I don;t know who though, Verdi starting hitting Blair when she was talking about it.” The Wonderlander rambled, fiddling with her cup of tea. She couldn’t stop it, secrets were something she couldn’t keep, a side effect of the transfer to Storybrooke. Dr. Whale called it aspergers, “ Oh I’m sorry, would you like one?” She holds up the cup of tea, remembering that Verdi told her to always offer one to whoever came into the shop.
Raz laughs before looking at Regina. “ It feels like one. She let me touch it the other night, but it’s soft though. I thought it would be all scratchy.” She waves her hand around. “ But its like a little lamb. All soft and fluffy. Soft and fluffy.“ It took her a minute to recognize Regina’s words. “That’s a weird name. Why would your mom name you that?”
“Clearly,” Regina nodded. Eight was certainly a lot. Not unheard of in their land, but still. “I guess that makes you the baby as well since you and Ms. Papilio are clearly Monozygotic twins,” she stated. Really...you don’t just forget to tell your friends--clearly they had never even been that--that you had an identical twin. It was clear to Regina that she’d read more into her and Verdi’s relationship than the other woman had. To say she was hurt wouldn’t even cover it. If you couldn’t trust someone, you couldn’t even be friends let alone something more. Why should talk of the Queen of Hearts upset anyone? She was dead, Regina had seen to it. She doubted anyone other than Jefferson ever even thought about her, and if he did, it was only because he had reminder of her staring back at him in the mirror when he didn’t cover it with a scarf.
“No thank you, I’m just here to pick up an order. If you could fetch it for me, I’ll be on my way,” she replied, politely declining the tea because she had no desire to stay around any longer than necessary. Regina lightly bit her tongue and pretended to look around the store trying to seem like she had no interest in Verdi’s hair. She knew what it was like and didn’t need to hear about it. “Madam Mayor is my title, because I’m the Mayor of Storybrooke. Only my friends and family may use my given name,” the brunette explained fighting back an eye roll. She motioned behind the counter. “The order should be under Mills.”
Every word you never said Echoes down your empty hallway And everything that was your world Just came down
