my one coworker - the one who complains incessantly about being made to do things that are solidly within our list of job duties, let alone things that are "extra" "unpaid" "out-of-class" "emotional labor" tasks - has decided that it is necessary to come into my lab and micromanage the plumber fixing my dishwasher. which would already be annoying enough, except that the plumber is doing a perfectly fine job and the two of us are communicating very well, and also she doesn't know how my dishwasher works or where the various chemicals and solvents are kept, so her "help" mostly consists of her interrupting what I am doing to tell her something I have already discussed with the plumber.

slightly less annoying, but only just, is that EVERY time she comes into my lab she's like Ohhh wowww you keep it so clean in here haha I could never. which is fine, she doesn't have to, idgaf about her lab because it's HER lab. but like I actually think my lab is normally clean sometimes bordering on messy, and it is very frustrating to have someone constantly be entering it uninvited just to comment on how it looks in a weirdly self-mocking way where then I have to justify why I keep it clean and also make her feel better about how dirty her lab is. it's like having your mother visit and her making passive aggressive comments about how bad you are at keeping your kitchen clean, except inverse and also stupider because you can't even tell your coworker to fuck off or bar her from entering.
