This is really outside of what I normally post but I feel like it has to be said. ever since covid the whole world has felt so scripted. things like media, fashion, music, social events, everything literally doesnt feel real. life doesnt feel eventful, like there's no spark or things to experience. its not like ive gained/ lost responsibilities that have made life harder or less enjoyable, but being an adult in the 2010s was not the same as being one in the 2020s. everything is so external and no one is actually living in their real life. I feel like things are moving so fast, everything is performative and it honestly just feels like we're all larping life and settling for no quality in experiences. it could be a product of corporate greed but it doesnt even feel like just people in general are adapting to less and less in life. im posting this because my blog and a lot of others I follow all like the 2010s aesthetic, but ive always felt there's more to it, and as to why I miss the 2010s so much. because although we can argue fashion, pop culture etc was objectively better, the world was better. and now it feels like its going downhill. and I honestly dont think im the only who feels this way.
