BRYNN UTONIUM is based on BLOSSOM from the powerpuff girls. she is a 25 year old super human, tech project manager, and uses she/her pronouns. she has the power of flight, intuition, ice breath, and super strength & is written by ALEX.
Brynn is a perfectionist, endlessly striving to be better and better - even if some already see her as the best. It's not enough, it's never enough to just be great - there's always some imperfection to herself she notices and feels the constant need to smooth over, even if no one else notices it.Â
Despite these insecurities clawing at her mind, she's egocentric and occasionally arrogant, believing herself inherently better than most people, a capable leader who people should listen to by virtue of her intelligence and experience. Despite being overly self critical, Brynn still knows she's smart, inventive, capable - and often attempts to compensate for her own insecurities by a show of overconfidence.
She longs for the life she once had, feeling like she constantly was working for something good and receiving validation from the entire city for her and her sisters' good deeds - and perhaps nothing she does here will ever be enough to satisfy her. Still, it doesn't stop her from constantly trying, working on project after project with little rest to distract herself from the constant feeling of restlessness and simply not being enough.Â
HEADCANONS:
1. Caffeine addict. Barely sleeps, as she feels it's a waste of time and wants to be able to pass out with as little effort as possible - so she survives off a constant stream of coffee and some energy drinks that probably have messed up her heart a bit.
2. Sure, she may not have any legal jurisdiction in this world or even be known as a hero, but it doesn't stop her from participating in some vigilante justice from time to time. She has a mask she wears to conceal her identity... But more often than not, she just wanders around at night dressed silly only to find no crime happening at all.Â
3. In her very limited free time usually obtained by putting off sleeping even further, Brynn secretly works on a novel about a trio of sisters fighting crime and being beloved by the whole world... It's definitely not just fanfiction about her former life she writes because she's severely homesick. Of course, it's heavily encrypted - it's her guilty pleasure alone!
4. Has an irrational fear of bugs and anything creepy crawly. Sure, she could use her ice breath to obliterate them or literally fly away herself - but something about them makes her shudder.
5. Her guilty pleasure is a good romcom and lots of sweets - when really needing a break, she'll take a "sick day" to stay on the couch and watch cheesy movies with a plethora of snacks, and try to not feel too guilty for wasting time.
6. Yes, she has important work to be doing (or so she tells herself), but she's also fairly vain - she'll never go out without making sure she looks composed and is sure to take good care of her skin, hair, and wardrobe. She's a big fan of shopping!
7. Prone to pettiness and getting into arguments about really dumb things that don't matter - she has this insatiable need to prove she's right, and will become annoyingly rigid in her specific beliefs at times.Â
8. Petrified of being seen as a failure, embarrassment, etc - goes hand in hand with the constant need to prove herself. As a result, she'll often go to ridiculous lengths to seem competent... which might end up embarrassing her anyways.
