Hello!
Time to update the old bio post.
I'm still a writer and game dev working independently in the indie scene on various projects. I work with individuals, teams, and I do solo stuff.
I used to think of myself as primarily a narrative designer but I think my future in the space, such as it is, will probably focus more on my pixel art than my writing. It's also a helluva lot easier to share visual art, right?
I do occasionally write games! I've also contributed pixel art and narrative design to Dreamed Away.
My itch store assets and other commissioned work are also being used in commercial games like Bots & Mods.
I recently completed a submission to the 2024 Mental Health Gamejam. This was a project I worked on with a partner and a couple of smaller contributors.
You can hire me. Sometimes people do! I've done a little of everything from tutoring other pixel artists to commissions to working on narrative and level design for unreleased projects, including a AA soulslike and an ambitious metroidvania. I've done project management, general conceptual design, core game writing (dialogue, tutorials, etc) and more. You wear A LOT of hats when you work in the indie world. If anyone knows how to put together a solid portfolio with these kinds of skills and experience, lemme know!
Other Links and Stuff (most of which are still under my oldname but this will change):
Artstation portfolio cuz it's the best platform for storing and sharing art that I've seen so far. Most of my stuff is on it, though it needs to be updated!
Itch store where I sell some game assets (free stuff too!) in two themes, currently. Retro Cybercity, a scifi/cyberpunk theme and Nine Realms, a fantasy/Norse mythology theme. Both are designed with attention to detail and character diversity in mind.
