Yesn't,,, I love them,, but I’d never be able to see them as a couple,,, BUTTTT, again I love them dearly.

In my head, Niko has tender loving care for Patrick, but it’s never outside of platonic, though I do feel like the honesty they have with each other, it does push Niko a little bit to question / be more comfortable with being queer in some way at least

Patrick on the other hand..! Definitely more than platonic. More interesting and more distressing on his end because he’s a man that struggles with 1: internalised homophobia and 2: hypersexuality. There are genuine feelings on Patrick’s end, but mixed with both plaguing intrusive thoughts that cause distress, and the narrative that liking men is “fucked up shit” on his end, he’d never be able to be honest about liking Niko. Especially to Niko’s face.

I do really love them together overall though… post-game after everything has happened, and they tell each other the horrors they’ve seen and endured, sometimes it can feel like it’s just Niko and Patrick in static, away from everything else, away from their families, indulged in horrors and finally able to come to terms with it… it doesn’t feel all that distressing, but it doesn’t feel all that refreshing, yet, it feels TENDER.
