How long it had been since last chapter? Felt like years. Ok I'm doing too much as usual ! But seriously guys I have missed you. Everyday I cussed myself out, for not posting. Sorry this chapter took me forevah. Thanks Beyonce & her Black Parade. Don't ask me why but it motivated me and inspired this chapter. FINALLY an answer to a question you couldn't stop asking. FINALLY ! I told you I would keep it for so long LMAO. Did I lie ? (Nicki Minaj's voice).

Oh my this chapter is so looong LMAO. At first I wanted to cut it in 2, but I was like no my readers deserve it all. It's weird but this one is so far my favorite but at the same time I don't think it's my best job. Ugh, I'm learning not to be too harsh on myself. And yes I cried while writing it. I really hope you guys will love this chapter.

My girl @evealacran wrote something in her new fic, Working My Way Back To You, that was so nice I’ve been thinking about it all day. It is so Rick. It fits him and who he is as a character. It made me think about just how deep of an understanding many fic writers have of these characters we love. Anyways, it was simple but so fitting. It spoke to the essence of who he is as a character: A lover, father, leader etc.

I'm so glad you found it fitted Rick so nicely, it's like his one goal : taking care of people he loves. That's why he will never be like Negan and why Negan will never be better than Rick, that's why it makes me so mad when people say bullshit like we would have be on Negan's side if the story started with him. WRONG ! Rick is a loving father, caring husband and thoughtful leader. Everything he did he did for the others, not in a selfish way like Negan. Anyway STAN RICK GRIMES. This story is a spin on episode 4x09, after Rick and Carl have to abandon their home and believe everyone they love is dead. Michonne has been alone for months and never met Andrea. Can the emotionally damaged and grieving Michonne find common ground with a physically injured and hopeless Rick?

Sneak Peek:

“No hard feelings,” Jocelyn said to Rick, as Michonne checked his scalp for bruising. “We’ve had to defend ourselves from people who’ve tried to hurt us. We hit first, figure the rest out later.”

Rick brought a hand to the back of his head and felt around, his fingers combing through his hair searching for bleeding. He studied the woman who was much shorter than Michonne. She had dark brown skin, and shoulder length braids that had begun to unravel at the ends and had bits of twigs and lint, undoubtedly from her time in the wild. The teens that were with her also looked unruly and dirty, exactly how Rick and Michonne had looked before they’d taken their shower in the rain.

“That’s smart. We have a similar philosophy,” Rick admitted, looking from Jocelyn to Michonne and then back to the teens who were hovering nearby, knives still in hand.

“Joss, I can’t believe you’re here,” Michonne said with a smile, leaving Rick’s side to embrace the woman. The teens tensed while Jocelyn and Michonne wrapped their arms around each other and hugged like long lost sisters.
