Still deciding on Apple Music? I was having a discussion with a friend tonight about the service and here are my thoughts on the service and why I'm very excited about Apple Music: First case: Artists are paid a better royalty per song play than Spotify. I could simply stop right there and that should be reason enough for anyone to also back this streaming service. Nonetheless - the reasons why you should at least try the three month free trial continue. Apple has a larger catalog of music than any streaming service to date. Apple Music will upload up to 100,000 of your personal MP3s that aren't already in the Apple catalog so that you can stream/ download them anytime/anywhere. The amount of curated playlists is overwhelming in the best way possible. You definitely will never get bored while discovering new artists while enjoying your favorites. The connect artist social network platform that is within the app is kinda of gimmicky - maybe over time this part will improve or simply fade out. I'm interested to see how this helps indie artists as well. Apple has partnered with CDBaby to make it easy for indie artists to get their content up. Audio quality is great as well. Only issue I found was they don't have Xscape - the MJ album available to stream yet - by using the match part of the service I simply uploaded my personal copy of the album and was able to listen to it right away. Problem solved!

One of the most fun orchestral concerts I had last year was with the American Youth Symphony in their final showcase of the Elfman Project. Through this concert not only did I get to meet one of my personal favorite film composers, Danny Elfman, but got to play alongside some pretty incredible musicians.
