❝ fine, ❞ the blonde gives in with a sigh, allowing her best friend jett to go get her a drink. he’s the reason why she came to this DUMB party, since he had mentioned telling her something special once they arrive there. and while waiting for him, this social butterfly is pressed against the wall, stiff & looking rather uncomfortable as she looks at other people having fun, plastering a small smile on her glossy lips at everyone who waves at her. and now she’s lowering her head, eyes set on the sand she’s weakly kicking with her chucks, since she doesn’t really want to be noticed or approached.

“Hey, don’t you look happy as a meal.” He approached the girl, giving her a small smile. “How’d the thing go?”

“Yeah, well, if you’re serious about the girl, it’s not only Valentines that should be special.”

“How about just calling my by my first name? Unless you’ve already forgotten that?”

“What are you talking about? I’m always a gentleman. Okay, you go do that. You know where to find me.”

“Really, Evan? A broody Brandy?” She rolled her eyes again. “Fine, I just feel so bothered about something that doesn’t even make sense up to the point that I think it’s entirely stupid to even think about it?”

“What’d you take? Pre-sickness food and how you tried to self-medicate, please.”

“That’s what I’ve been doing.” She said, rolling her eyes. “How’ve you been, anyway? I feel like we haven’t talked for like…ages or something.”

“I’m not going to enable this. If you’re going to look like a broody Brandy and not tell me what’s going on, I’m giving you zilch about how I’ve been.”

“Oh, just calm down for a quick second, Blake, okay? You know the girl, right? You’re dating her? The fuck kind of stuff does she like? Like if you listen to her enough, you’d know what stuff she’d like and appreciate and maybe, just maybe, you could come up with something she’d definitely remember for a long time.”

“That and the possibility you might be absolute shit with advice. No offense.”

“Fuck, just keep on hurting me with your words, why don’t you? What makes you think I’d give shit advice? I get it, I did tell you to do some really fucked up thing once but that was different.”
