Chris will be participating in a virtual fundraiser for Christopher’s Haven on their YouTube channel on May 21st!
‘Avengers: Endgame’: Beyond the shield, Chris Evans is dedicated to helping kids beat cancer
ChrisEvans: Who’s coming with me??? You can support a great organization AND take red carpet selfies with me!! Win-win!! (omaze link)
Assemble with Chris Evans at the Avengers: Endgame® Premiere
YOU AND A FRIEND WILL:
Join Captain America®—aka Chris Evans—on the red carpet at the premiere of Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame
Be among first to find out what happens after The Snap (Who will live? Who will die? What happened to Cap’s beard?)
Take home a replica of Captain America’s shield, signed by Chris
Be flown out to a top-secret location and put up in a 4-star hotel
what you’ll do
Sorry, Bucky. Captain America’s got a new best friend: You. Chris Evans—the man behind the shield—is bringing you to the exclusive premiere of Marvel®’s Avengers: Endgame! Here’s the plan (because he totally has one): You and a guest will assemble on the red carpet, walk among superheroes, snap all the pictures and think to yourself, “I can do this all day.” That’s when you’ll find him: the First Avenger, your new pal Chris. You’ll get to ask all your burning questions, take a selfie and see why Chris is even more awesome in real life than he is on the screen. After that? It’s time to watch the biggest, most action-packed Marvel movie yet, surrounded by the cast and crew that made it. Flights, hotel and Captain America’s shield (signed by Chris!) all included.
who you’ll help
Christopher’s Haven, located in Boston, Massachusetts, is a supportive community for families of children being treated for cancer in nearby Boston hospitals. On Labor Day in 2006, Christopher’s Haven opened the door of one furnished and comfortable apartment to a family who had traveled from Alabama to Boston seeking life-saving treatment for their seven-year-old daughter. Since then, the organization has helped over 300 families and now includes seven residential apartments and a community area that provides programming for children undergoing outpatient treatment, as well as their siblings and parents.

Two Roads Diverged in a Yellow Wood, and Sorry I Could Not Travel Both
This has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make, but it has been made clear to me that, for whatever reason (and I have my suspicions, but I’m not going to go into them), the Chris Evans fandom is no longer interested in this project.
(I also was hospitalized last month and came closer to dying or losing a leg than I really want to think about. And I’ve had other struggles in my life the last few years, and I really think that I need to refocus my energies.)
But remember folks, we came together and we did an amazing thing. Together, we raised more than $4,400 for Christopher’s Haven, and we had over 42 people pledge to donate blood. For a small, fandom-organized, fandom-run campaign, that is a truly awesome result.
Each and every one of you that donated, that pledged to give blood, that signal boosted the campaign - you all came together and showed that the Evangers fandom really does care. Be proud!
I will leave the current campaign open until the date set for it to close (June 14) in case anyone else wishes to donate or pledge to give blood, but I will not be setting up any future campaigns - unless I see signs of interest in this project again. I love you all, but my efforts towards this project have produced little to no results for the past year, and given that and the things going on in my personal life, I need to refocus my energies on me for a while.
Blessings on you all.

The idea was simple: to organize a fundraiser (for Christopher’s Haven) and Red Cross Sleeves Up blood drive in honor of Chris Evans’ birthday on June 13 (and as the fandom’s gift to him).
This idea was inspired by the Hiddlestoners Have Heart campaign that raised over 50,000 british pounds to support Unicef UK.
We believe that the Evangers (Chris Evans fandom) can achieve something similar. Something good, and honor Chris for his birthday at the same time.
As we all know, Chris has supported Christopher’s Haven in the past, and it is a very worthwhile charity. They provide a home away from home for children who are undergoing treatment for cancer and their families at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. If you haven’t yet heard of Christopher’s Haven, please click on the link to go to their website and learn more about the amazing things they do.
Part of what the Red Cross does is collect donated blood for distribution to where it’s needed. They estimate that each blood donation can save up to three lives. This includes those battling cancer, many of whom will need blood transfusions during chemotherapy and other treatments.
Every day, 43 children are diagnosed with cancer. Each year globally, 14 million people are diagnosed with cancer.
We can do something about it. Imagine if, in addition to seeing Marvel and other Chris Evans movies in movie theaters, fans pitched in the same amount as their movie ticket to support Christopher’s Haven as well? If they made a blood donation?
Come and join us, lovelies. Let’s do this!
