#you know what #i’m thinking about what season 2 would’ve been like if her eating disorder was noora’s ‘shame’ #while sex being noora’s main shame wasn’t /bad/ especially considering the sexual traumas she experienced #i feel like at times it became a little wishy washy when it was focused so much on william #especially because we /didn’t/ really see her clam up at the idea of intimacy or being confronted with a sexual situation #beyond her saying she won’t have sex until she’s married #which even then is said in a light-hearted manner #but i think had they focused on this story more it would’ve been really interesting #especially because we had the build up from s1 #and i think it would’ve been a really powerful story to show what life is like /after/ overcoming the worst of your eating disorder #because it never fully goes away #it’ll always be something she struggles with #and it’d be interesting to see how her helping vilde through her own eating issues would affect noora #skam does a really good job of showing the other side of typical plot lines used in teen shows #for instance what i loved so much abt s3 is that it wasn’t isak getting bullied #and people not accepting him #it was about internalised homophobia and trying to reconcile his own image of a gay man with himself #therefore they could’ve used noora’s story to show the struggle that comes with progress #and how people always complimenting her or calling her thin makes her feel #if /she/ doesn’t feel that way #or how little things could trigger her #they could’ve also still tied in the sex element #and the possibility that having sex so young only to be rejected impacted on her self-image #similarly it would explain her hesitance to have sex because of her body issues #idk it could’ve been really well done tbh (@littlespooneven)
