If I shall speak,

If I shall breathe,

If I shall seek

Or simply die in peace.

You ought to give a speech,

To teach me how to breathe,

How to live in peace

Instead of letting my hopes

Like changing seasons wrapped in a haze

The warmth once held now turns to gray

fold up my feelings, too scared to be found.

You don’t even know me, so what does this mean?

Am I just a ghost in my own foolish dream?

Hope was a whisper, now it’s a sigh,

I’ll never have you, so I’ll never try.

You're too far to reach, too close to forget,

but maybe some loves are meant for regret.

Disappearing felt like healing for my soul.

If I fade, perhaps a star I’d become,

If I stay, I’d find the flowers and the hum.

A good soul I prayed to be, yet became history,

Seek me for wisdom; I’ll share my story.

Save me in a box to preserve my memory,

For I failed myself and lived as an irony.

A quiet calm, a boundless free.

Whenever I’m alone, I wander within,

Exploring the depths of who I’ve been.

I have to say, I’m glad to be

To embrace the person who lives in me.

I honor my efforts to be kind and true,

With a soul so pure, I proudly renew.

Yes, I grow weary, yet I remain

For my beloved ones, I’d endure the pain.

And so, I respect myself, you see,

For all the care she pours into me.

I feel loved, cherished, and proud to say,

The world’s harsh edges won’t strip me away.

Despite its ugliness, I still see the light,

In people, in love, in what feels right.

I give my heart, my time, my care,

For those I cherish, I’m always there.

This is me, resilient and free,

A soul untouched, a heart that believes.

Knitting barriers for those who stray,

Who don’t know me, or turn away.

I build my tower, high and steep,

Where no one dares, where I can keep.

I hold myself where none can see,

If no one cares, it’s fine with me.

I fear too much, so I withdraw,

Hiding myself behind this wall.

My true self stays, concealed, out of view,

I hide it all. It’s what I do.

Stay away, that’s all I plead,

And let me live with my thoughts complete.

So I must seek, if I shall receive

An acceptance. As I stand alone,

I confess I tried to make my own.

I assure you, my loneliness

Is not for those I know, I guess,

But why does it feel, in every part,

Like they should have to play a part?

Why must I strive with all my might,

To be acquainted, to be in sight?

Why must I make such effort still,

To find a place against my will?

To keep my heart safe, too precious to lose.

Feelings hidden, words left untold,

A quiet distance is all I can hold.

It's best this way, no excuse to fall,

For my heart needs peace, not regret at all.

You'll always have the truth I won’t share,

The depth of my love that lingers in air.

But I must seek my own path, alone,

While you walk forward, with a future unknown.

Admiring you from afar, it's what I do,

But my love? You will never have it, it's true.

I’ll keep my heart safe, I’ll keep it apart,

To cherish what we shared from the start.

So here I stand, letting go of the rest,

With love in my heart, but distance is best.

The sunset fades where the ocean lies.

Each day reborn with hopes renewed,

Same joys, same dreams, happiness pursued.

Still, I wait for you, patience my guide,

For love takes time, like a gentle tide.

Art was meant to capture you,

For you're the masterpiece I always knew.

To gaze upon you is all I need,

A work of perfection, a soul to feed.

In a life of voids and empty ties,

You are the beauty, where meaning lies.

Thousands of stories to let my heart out,

Books if you care to take a look,

About my feelings, like pages in a book.

If my thoughts could speak your name,

It’d echo in my mind, always the same.

I try to catch the words, but they flee,

When emotions grow, it's hard to see.

So when we're near, don’t expect me to talk,

For my mind is lost, unable to walk.

But if you'd read the words I penned,

The poems, the letters I never did send,

You’d know my love is deep and true,

And all I ask is to share it with you.
