Oh yeah, I almost forgot myself: It seems that every damn Zutara shipper forgets that Mai exists. It’s literally like it’s team Edward vs team Jacob or whatever comparison you want to choose (though even that is kinda stupid bc while this was an obvious love triangle, the end of that was also the most obvious, Jacob never had any real chances. That may be wrong, I have not much knowledge about Twilight....)

Plus with that ending this read 99% like everything is (maybe not perfect but) great now and he’s just over it because he got a giant hug? Main three “acting strong” is one of the most OOC moments in the entire show? Like really? Out off all of them, those three?  The more I think about the more negative I feel about the whole thing. That’s why I’ll do now what I should’ve done an hour ago and stop writing now. Sorry.

I really have an urge to write about that chest and why it really bothers me, also about some recent stuff from one of the boarders about Peridot (and what didn’t happen with that!). Just ... the very weird decisions... Like having this entire season about how fucked up Steven is... but not a second of it is spent on e.g. Connie or others mental state. Or that nothing is .. IDK solved? It’ not like Steven learned anything new that would prevent anything like that from happening again ... and then I’m back at the inconsistency between the message and what actaully happened in universe...

To make this very clear: I don't think  the finale was bad, no it was a very good send off. Though, to me personally, it was mediocre at best. I'm still not sure what to think off it. I don't know why I phrased it like that, it's literally just been about 20 minutes now. I always watched this for specific reasons and there were a lot of ways recently (or more acuratley and honestly: really starting with S3 (or even the friend ship arc in S2) and getting far worse from that point on). For me, not being a child anymore when the show started, I of course always had a very different way of viewing it. And the things that were important to me, seemed to get less and less important to the show's direction. Which isnt a bad thing. It just lessens my enjoyment of it. Sometimes a lot! I just can't get over all the stupid logic shit. Like, STeven corrupts, a GIANT FUCKING MONSTER ATTACKS Beach City ... and only the B-Team arrives. Why? WHY? There are a ton of gems literally living seconds away, a lot of them, hell, most of them fought in a war. I just can't excuse that the writers just don't care about making this world belivable in any way. It seems like the show gets aware of teleportation, space ships ect when it's relevant to the plot. Well, and here I go right back, because this is where this really startet to bother me, the nonexistence of Lapis and Peridot after they've been almost written out of the show with one of the worst motivation in anything that was important to me. The world of Steven Universe became just more and more disconnected, they've set up a world & a story that made the format and the way the stories were told just way too simplistic.... But yeah, I've written about this before, it's just the same ramble, but this is exactly what was bad about the finale, again, for me.
