“Hey what” I answered

“I got the ball” he yelled “But I got something you gotta see”

“What is it?” I yelled

“I can’t say but you gotta see it”

“Bring it with you” I yelled

“I don’t know. It’s in Mrs Marinaro’s yard and all”

“Just bring it with you. We’ll put it back when I’ve had a look”

“I don’t know. It’s kind of heavy. Okay I’ll bring it”

It took him a while.

“Holy crap” I laughed. “Look at you. You’re covered in dirt”

“Well” he laughed back. “I had to dig it up”

“Dig it up! You said you found it”

“Well I did. It’s heavy I can’t hold it any longer. Let’s open it”

“Absolutely not. We have to put it back”

“Too late” Danny said. “Mrs Marinaro is home”

“Oh crap. What happens when she finds out we - you took it”

“Me?” Danny said “You told me to bring it home. We may as well open it now”

“We’re not opening it”

“Good,” Danny said “I’ll get dad’s toolbox”

“Oh what the heck” I shrugged “Mrs Marinaro’s going to put a death spell on us anyway”

Danny handed me a hammer. “Try this”

I hit it as hard as I could. “Clang” said the hammer. “Well that’s not gonna do it”

Danny said “Let me try this. On the cop shows they pick the lock with a pin. You just have to stick the pin on the lock

and fiddle around a bit and whomp there it is. The lock opens”

“Go right ahead” I said.

“I’ll just stick the pin in here and move it around. And Tada it’s open” Danny said in disbelief.

“Danny, you did it, You actually did it”

Flash Bang. Standing in front of us was a dude the size of a refrigerator

Danny looked up at him. “Are you the Genie?

"No genie” Mr Refrigerator said. “I need the box”

“Take it” I said. I was holding on to Danny who was crying

“Oh, another thing” Mr Refrigerator said “If it’s not too inconvenient, you kids are coming with me”

“It’s so inconvenient” I said through tears.

“That’s too bad” Mr Refrigerator said with a smile.
