tord practices smiling in the mirror before his interviews because he struggles smiling ""normally""
tord's hair is an overgrown mullet that he doesn't bother taking care of. his hair is very oily and has a bunch of split ends, his bangs go past his eyes. he got a haircut one time and never had the motivation to pay attention to it again. he only washes it when he showers (which isn't very often lmfao).
tord only bothered to fix up his appearance after he finally found a job. he finally got another haircut and started practicing hygiene more often since he finally has a reason to be presentable. he also started taking care of himself a bit more.
tord was willing to leave his old life behind if it meant he'd finally be able to find a purpose. he had edd's house to live in and roommates to be around. but he lacked fulfillment. he had ideas and inventions, but his ideas went nowhere. nothing satisfied him.
tord felt stuck since he had no opportunities and lacked motivation for anything. if he wanted his life to move forward, he would need a fresh start on his own, even if it meant leaving everything behind.
